Rewards Lawbreakers: Amnesty is both a pardon (that removes any penalty for breaking the law) and a reward (by giving the lawbreaker the permanent residency they sought to seal in the first place). And the huge number of amnestied aliens will clamor loudly for their relatives to come here.

Encourages More Illegal Immigration: Amnesties always lead to more illegal immigration, and aliens around the world will sneak into the United States to be part of the next amnesty. We granted amnesty to 3 million illegal workers in 1986, only to see the number of illegal aliens rise to an estimated 11 million in 2000. Amnesty is not a cure for illegal immigration; it is a cause of illegal immigration.

Sparks Massive Litigation: Illegal immigrants and their advocates try to expand each amnesty far beyond its original limits. Litigation from the 1986 amnesty resulted in congressional action last December admitting hundreds of thousands of aliens who didn't qualify for the earlier pardons.

Has anyone else gotten the fax on this yet? I'm still looking for mine but I've already started signaling that Cheney must go next to my liberal friends. We are the compassionate Republicans!!!

To be a liberal you must believe in a free nation, freedom of religion, unbiased to all causes, such as politics, religion or progressive ideals.here are a few things liberals have changed to form a better nation: Changed the work day to eight hours a day,40 hours aweek, started the minimum wage.Started the G.I. bill of rights. Ended the depression.Ended segregation, started social security, medicare,a welfare program that was a good cause, but got out of hand.Started public schools,a free meal for poor school children,When you think of all the good liberals have done, the word sounds pretty good.

I have a friend who is 18 she only has her driving permit. I asked her why she hasnt gotten her licence and she said that it is because she was waiting for her insurance to need renewing since she was free on her permit there was no use in getting a licence. she said that under her insurance she is allowed to drive with only her permit. Im 20 now and i remember that back 2 years ago when i was in high school they used to send papers home to our parents telling them that it was only a myth that we were allowed to drive to school with our permits and that if we got caught driving without a parent that our license would be suspended till we were 21. my friend swears that she is allowed to drive and has been doing it since she was 16 who is right. he parents are from another country and do not speak much english so its possible that they dont understand either. she is under the impression that the long she has her permit the lower her insurance will be once she gets her licence...

Im a full fledged Democrat who lived in a all black neighborhood. The reason i dont like Republicans and the Bush Boys is because you are too hard headed. Many of you dont have as good sex lives as Democrats, and many of you are nerdy and ugly. Democrats are sexier. You Republicans are also stubborn.
Now that ive called you out, im gonna tell you just how "liberal" i am. I enjoy smoking weed on a daily basis, and i think it should be legalized. I loved that Micheal Moore movie, and i dont like Rush Limbaugh. Keith Olbermann is the man!!! I want to slap the piss out of Bill O' Reily, and Dick Cheney is a wimp. I also enjoy having sex with white Republican women (who are my age. im 20) and i have fun turning them into Democrats.
Well i hope the made some Republicans angry. Oh and one more thing: Affirmitive action helped me get into college (although i could have got in without it) Have a blessed day!!!

Allen's funny labels of non-whites and Santorum's hatred of all things non-white, non-hetero just remind me of how far you can go in life as a human being if just given the right opportunities.

What will George and Rick do now?

Germany's top prosecutor will seek a criminal investigation and prosecution of Rumsfeld, along with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, former CIA director George Tenet and other senior U.S. civilian and military officers, for their roles in abuses committed at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison and at the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

One witnesses who will testify on behalf of the prosecution is former Brig. Gen. J. Karpinski, the one-time commander of all U.S. military prisons in Iraq.

German law (like it or not) provides "universal jurisdiction" allowing for the prosecution of war crimes and related offenses that take place anywhere in the world. The Bush Administration has rejected adherence to the International Criminal Court (ICC) on grounds that it could be used to unjustly prosecute U.S. officials.

Will the democrats run with these new charges?
Should they be tried as war criminals?
Should International courts be telling America what do do?

Recently I posted a question, asking about Joseph McCarthey. I asked about the ethics of his actions, whether or not he was a misguided man trying to do the right thing, a fringe lunatic, totally right, whatever. I wanted to know what people thought about one of the most controversial figures the Senate has ever seen. Now I'm wondering about Richard Millhouse Nixon.

Nixon resigned from office in disgrace, after the Watergate break-in and resultant scandal. What do you think about the scandal? Was it blown out of proportion? Was Nixon a good president? Did he make the right decisions? Was the Washington Post in the wrong to dig as far as they did? Should the Presidency carry with it some kind of immunity for this kind of investigation, or is that an essential part of the democratic process? Should impeachment be more accessible? Should the press dig that deep? Is it unethical to let power rest unmolested, or should we constantly question and investigate our leaders?

Some other members in my Republican Book Club believe Mr. Rove did our president wrong and must go.

Do you think his value is over? What can he do to find gainful employment elsewhere?

Who was your favorite president and why?

Any nation, any time. Prime Ministers are also acceptable answers. Chancellors, Kings, Emperors do not belong here. Prime Ministers and Presidents only for maximum democratic value.

Mine is Andrew Jackson, United States of America. He is so hot and dreamy. Everything he did was just so wonderful. He is the best president ever.

Who were yours?

Kisses,

Jessica

p.s. I love you!

I'm 16, and I've been to the USA lot's of time on vacation with my family and to visit our relatives who live in North Carolina and Connecticut, and I love it there!

But my friends keep telling me that Americans don't like Canadians. And when I tell them I want to live there they go "Why would you want to live there, USA sucks". I don't care that they say that though, because I've been to the USA and I think it's great and most people are friendly there.

I've seen on the news about that immigration thing in the USA with Mexico, and I guess some Americans don't like immigrants. But I reallly want to live there because I just think it's a great county, and I would become an American citizen if I had the chance and I wouldn't illegally immigrate, I would do it legally and pay all my taxes!!!

I kept hearing that the election of congressmen were dependent less on people's preferences and more on each party's turnout. So was the turnout for either party greater than what was expected?
