Making sex such a taboo makes it irresistible to Christians, especially to their clergy. Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, and now Ted Haggard. Imagine how kinky and exciting it has to be for them to walk the edge like that, knowing the price to be paid for getting caught.

"contradictions" in the bible is like the story of three blind men describing the elephant.
The first blind man felt the elephant's body and said the elephant is a huge animal.
The second felt its tail and said the elephant is a thin long animal.
The third felt its ear and said the elephant is a flat broad animal.
Now who is correct? All three of them. It's just that they view the creature from different perspective !
I thank God for the internet. Because an occasional roll in the hay is a wonderful thing! A quick annoyomous sexual tryst either gay or straight is what many of us deeply inside want. And thanks to the internet ...we GET!
Yet, some bent out of shape conservatives would control our lives so much that they would not only condemn us from doing that , they would prevent us from even seeing pictures / images of such or even reading about it.
I find it quite ironic that the very terrorists we seek to control /eliminate such as the Talaiban have the same inner thoughts and motives that have been exhibited by the Christian right...that is control our moral lives!
Believe me I am not advocating a society where Child molestation is tolerated, Raping is overlooked, and street prostitution is open and wild. But sex between two consenting adults...YES! Between any two adults or 3, or 4, or 5, straight or gay or mixed.
I bet there is some hatefull right wing codger reading his right now full of hate, yet within in the next few days , and in the privacy of their own own home is going to slip a well lubed cucumber or zuchinni up their butt. Then, a few days later speak out in hate against anyone else who advocates freedom of sexual expression or experiance in the privacy of their own home.
The Christian right has no idea just how fed up many of us are with the hypocracy and are overjoyed to see these news stories coming out. And the word is...... "COMING OUT"

Basically, the U.S. Evangelical Christians published a report advocating for the overthrow of the U.S. government if their agendas were not made into legislation. Someone must have decided that making such a threat against this government wasn't the best of good judgment because, just a few days later, their leader, Haggard, was outed at a meth head and adulterer, which, quite effectively, buried the bigger political story with a "Christian pervert" story.

oh Ted Haggard is just the ex leaders of 30 million Evangelical Christian who declared gay marriage an abomination from the pulpit but was fornicating with a male prostitute while whacked out on meth in the back alley.
just another hypocrite. that's all

Ted Haggard was a frequent visitor to the white house, He was interviewed on national TV with Tom Brokaw, and spoke of meetings in white house. He was accused of buying drugs and sex with... Anyway he has been relieved of his duties in his church.

What's his name - Mr "Focus on the Family" quit Haggards support group a day or two ago. Couldn't stand the heat or didn't want to get smeared. How christian of him. Of both.

He has sinned and should be forgiven, praise the Lord!!! He has humbled himself in front of God and George W. Bush and asked the forgiveness of the two dieties he worships most. He was tempted by the flesh of another man and by the evil of the demon drugs, but through the power of prayer and money (under the table of course) has been forgiven his transgressions by both God and Dubya. How can we not forgive someone who has so humbled himself before the two mightiest powers in the universe - God and George W.? Join with me brothers and sisters in expressing your forgiveness for brother Ted for his transgressions. For a man is but flesh and blood and to be tempted by another is to prove you are merely mortal, but all will be forgiven when you ask the Holy Duo for their forgiveness. We should do the same. Amen.
