You may think it doesn't affect you b/c nobody's currently trying to shoot you, or currently denying you your wish to vacation, unharrassed, in France, or currently opting not to supply you with gas for your Explorer, or currently aligning with other countries who have different ideas about how the world should be run, but it IS affecting you. You just may not have felt those effects yet.

The war in Iraq--like everything else that occurs every single day--will have significant impact on the future. In my opinion, the effects of the war in Iraq will make our futures, and the futures of many countries, not so bright.

On the other hand--it was bound to happen sooner or later. Our domination had little to do with "being right," a work ethic, a "can do" attitude, or anything else we like to ascribe to our position as a world leader. It had everything to do with having a rich, new land. Unfortunately, that land isn't so rich anymore, and things are balancing out. Hello, China.

Get a clue there bud! If we weren't fighting it overthere just think of how much of America would be destroyed by now!!! It would have been fought over here...it doesn't affect you? You don't care? You will care when this country is left out in the cold, if we pull out of Irac now there will be yet another war to fight and it may come here. Are you ready to sign up and fight for your country? It does affect you or you would not have ask the question!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have a nice quiet day and night Thank a Vet!!!

your exactly right about ppl dying every day(in america), but you should care because it does affect you. im leaving for Iraq in 3 weeks, and i think that all of us are trying to protect the freedom that we as Americans love so dearly. Whether you believe it or not the war in iraq--as skewed as it has become--is necessary for the survival of freedom. Terrorism is a problem that will not just "go away" and Iraq is the heartland of terrorism, and has always been a safe haven for terrorists. there will never be a "perfect war",and there will always be issues and controversy--especially when the media gets involved they spin everything. anyway thanks for the concern!

You don't care?

We should maybe let the Islamic terrorists suceed in the objectives. Their demand is clear:

"You will convert to Islam - or you will die."

They will, of course, kill all of the infidels - and they won't care when they cut your damned empty head off just because you don't care.

Better get with the program ..... the freedoms you take for granted have been earned and solidified by the sacrefice and blood of many Americans.

Have a nice Veterans' Day.

People like you shouldn't even be allowed in the US. People die everyday, but not for you. You idiot. Should I even dare to ask you if you know what the "Band of Brothers" is. If you were there and someone shot at you, you'd probably cry like a little *****.

The Iraq war was a big mistake and we will soon leave in about two years in defeat.

You don't believe it affects you? If we didn't fight them over there, they'd eventually come over here. The reason you have the peace of mind to believe it doesn't affect you is because we went over there to fight them.

The muslim extremists believe ALL who do not have faith in Islam MUST be killed. This is jihad. They believe Allah (their god) commanded this.
