I don't know about in Texas but this is my philosophy. Do you kids only need clothes and food once a year..Do they only need medical care once a year.I don't know of any state that allows that. It's hard enough to get monthly support..I would not let the father pay 1 time per year...he might skip state or quit work about the time that support is due. I just don't understand this issue. My baby's father paid 25.00 a week for support and said that it was too much..DO you know how much it takes to raise to a child...diapers, formula, medicine, clothes, etc. He said it was the state's responsiblity to care for HIS kid..I got food stamps on my son but not nearly enough to buy food for him. IT is not the state's responsiblity..the state didn't get me pregnant.

Not that i know of but just because it was done in Texas you need to be aware that it is all federal now! They put it on your credit and they can take your state and federal tax's to! They can also garnish you wages up to 65% of your income and that's take home after tax's! you can be put on a list and your picture can be put on a registry for non payment! they will take the money from you and there is nothing you can do its legalized extortion and don't get in the rear on your payment because they can and do charge you interest on top of interest ( the F***n you get for the F***n you got)! I know all this because i tried that.. sorry but it don't work!

You can call the child support office and find out if you can pay in advance.

Nope-a judge can order weekly, biweekly, semi monthly, monthly, quarterly or yearly payments. If you want a yearly payment (to budget for the year) and if you're both agreeable, you may be able to sign a stipulation as to your agreement and have a judge sign the order.

It is what the judge orders, to the letter. I don't believe any order goes "pay a lump sum yearly", unless there is a previous agreement with the custodial parent
