Electronic machines that can easily be hacked into, no paper trail, parties shutting out certain groups of voters, etc. Will this be better or worse than the last few elections? I think it will actually be worse due to the increase in electronic voting machines.

After all, they are out to protect our bill of rights. Do you honestly need more evidence that the ACLU is partisan?

The only advantage that I can see about discussing immigration is that it is an outlet for us. Does anyone actually believe that our government is going to do what the people want them to do? Do you think that politicians will tell you anything and then do what they want to do? Isn't it all about money and power?

I saw a study that bothered me and I want your take on the subject. If you are not an educated voter, should you still vote. Dems and Reps try to offer and entice people to vote with various incentives (free this and that), but I feel that if you are not making an educated decision, you should abstain just as you would with any other subject. That is my opinion, I am curious how other's feel about it. What if your candidate loses by a few votes and you found out that a group was voting because they were offered something. I think it taints the whole election process.

i dont really think the federal government is doing a good job on decreasing the homeless population we have in the USA, i think that the problem should be left to the state governments because this problem will be handled more efficiently, anyone else agree with me?

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

Yahoo Featured Story: "An Arizona proposition would offer a $1 million prize to get people to the polls."

The implication appears to be that anyone who can legally vote SHOULD vote. But is it not more important that people who do vote be informed?

I'm so tired of the partisian retoric. I know very few people who are totally left or right. We need a middle party that listens to the people and not special interest. Everyone I know is sick of both sides and I wonder why they being the leaders of the 2 parties can't seem to understand. I'm thinking libertarian but I'm not that sure that in a world of curruption and greed that it is feasable.

My ex, who is crazy and always making false threats, threatened to kill himself today if I didn't let him see his daughter. He stalks me online and finds my myspace page and email addresses every time I change them and continues harrassing me. I have a protection order against him, but the cops won't do anything because he isn't putting my family in "immediate danger" by harrassing me online. They just tell me to block him, but then he creates a new account and starts again. The reason he cannot be in contact with our child is because he is diagnosed insane and has severe drug and alcohol problems and has harmed her in the past. I got a two-page message this morning from him about how I have ruined him and he is going to hang himself at 10 o clock tonight if I don't call him and give my daughter the phone. I think he's bullshitting me to try to scare me into doing it. He's done this before. Should I turn it over to the cops or just ignore it all together? I refuse to call him.

It's the same thing with democrats. They say they're against something like racism, but rather they perpetuate it through politics. It's funny that Robert Byrd, a democrat, is a former KKK recruiter.

Presidents Bush and Clinton had to face problems not dealt with by lazy Congressmen of BOTH PARTIES.

Democrat Robert Byrd has been in the Senate since 1959. Republican Ted Stevens has been in the Senate since 1968. Democrat Ted Kennedy has been in the Senate since 1962. There are so many more in the House and Senate.

These men are little dictators and know that presidents come and go so not much has to get done. 9/11 Should have been blamed on Congressmen who have made our country less safe over the last 40 years.

Here is my plan.

Representatives should be term limited to 8 terms (16 years).

Senators should be term limited to 2 terms (12 years).

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

what is so hard about it? Why are the democrats so insecure that they can not admit any faults by a democrat?

Is this pathetic?

**also, I am a Christian, I share many beliefs that Republicans share, but I realize the politicians are usually lying to get the poor to middle class Republican's votes. Since Republicans are for the rich, how else could they get poor people to vote for them? I worked 7 years for a hard-core Repulican; he's on the Electoral College in my state, close friends with Roy Blunt & Matt Blunt, has connections with George Bush, and I'm here to tell ya, they are far from Christians!

Recently my uncle was ran off the road by an oncoming vehicle in his lane. He swerved into a side ditch in order to miss it. There were no marks of the other vehicle (it didn't stop) anywhere. The police said they had to give my uncle a breathalizer just for the records. When they did, he blew a 13. My uncle wasn't drunk and I know it. The officer even told him that he knew he wasn't drunk. He had to take him downtown, though to take another test. He blew a 14 and 15. He's been on prescription meds, but no alcohol. Not even cough syrup. So... He has a court date (his license was revoked), and needs me to write a letter to the court stating my name, his name, how I know him, and that I've never seen him drunk. I don't know how to structure this letter. Any ideas?

I just got a letter from unemployment for a telephone hearing to reconsider denial of my first determation. I filed my appeal late, one of the subjects in the hearing will be timeliness. I did file late, past the 20 day deadline.
(9 days) I was caring for my mom and time got away from me was my reason.
I knew I was late but filed anyways,I thought they would of said no and not even hear me, so I was shocked to recieve in the mail, my hearing date. Is this good for me or do they hear all appeals whether on time or late? I have a good case otherwise and believe I will win, I'm just afraid that I will lose because I filed late and know must prove that I had good cause. Which i did, but is it good enough for them?
