FYI - THE FED - is actually not a goverment owned agency or company it is a private company run by regular "rich" people. The company is there to try and help control the inflation and interest rate that normal " poorer" people have to pay. For the most part they don't help or hurt the ecconimy. They just make things more interesting when people try to get a loan.

The Federal Reserve is privately owned. There is nothing Federal about it other than the fact that it impacts our government.

The "Fed" regulates the economy somewhat so that stuff like the great depression does not happen again. Was the great depression good for US citizens? If you don't think so, then you should thank the fed for keep another one from happening.
