Cause it's gonna happen.

Diebold, the company that makes the electronic vitong machines has a president who spoke to republicans and guaranteed them the election.

No paper trail, no ability to recount. Just change a number ina database, and the election is won.

Is this democracy?

What would Jesus think?

I've heard this ridiculous assertion several times here and want to see someone try and defend it.

In what way do Republicans ever give a "hand up"? By filling all top positions and jobs with family and friends, irregardless of qualifications and experience? By preserving education for those who live in the right district? By doing WHAT? Leaving $50 more in your pocket so you can buy another tank of gas? While loaning you $1000 behind your back in way of deficit spending -- that you don't get to spend, by the way.

Democrats support advancement to those who have earned it, through qualifications and proven success and not by inheritance. Democrats believe that everyone should be entitled to a quality education so that they will have the tools to compete. Democrats provide financial assistance to enable thousands of people to attend college.

Why do so many of you consider that a Republican policy of "do nothing" is a "hand up"?

Without voter fraud, some say the Democrats have a shot at getting power back in both the House and the Senate. Suppose they are right? How many think this would really make a difference? ....that any of the present administration's "irons in the fire" would be derailed?

Would you say that the present polling data reflects (A) a distrust in the evidence of a cover-up surrounding 9-11? (B) the Iraq war mess which now appears out of control despite the positive inroads made to lead this country into the 21st century? (c) This administrations efforts to derail Constitutional restraints by joining this nation with the Mexican and Canadian governments to form a mass economic trade alliance in an effort to remain competitive in the world of free trade? (D) this administrations efforts to reduce the Constitution to a null and void document with out the willing consent of both the House and the Senate or a majority count of 2/3 vote on same? (E) All of the above?

I asked this question previously and got particularly poor answers.

I am not saying a person is or is not anti-American whatever they oppose or do not oppose; I am asking a question. Please don't jump to conclusions about my perspective.

I am asking if you are opposed and appauled by the continued presence of the U.S. military in Iraq--the continued military operations carried out by U.S. forces that raid whole villages and kill civilians all in the good name of stopping "insurgents"--does that ipso facto prove you are an "anti-American" ?

Yes or no -- and WHY ?

Is the Government an Evil Empire driven by people who have evil motives yet put on a facade that they are all great and wonderful for the people, in the meantime creating wars and destabilizing the world while sending innocent people to fight in the Hell's they create for their own benefit of money and power over the people.

Are the motives and actions behind governments actually not for the peoples interests but for their own self interests? With the people who control the government being the Elite who create and decide on wars, while the regular people suffer under their bombs and guns on either side - those being bombed and those being shipped off to fight and kill. Are the government's actually convincing people that they are fighting for the citizens, when in actuallity the government's real interest is to have people fight for nobody but the government and their own interest so they can continue their dominance?

Are people being fooled into fighting for an Evil Empire?

Every question on this site that calls into question Americas motives in Iraq is met by dumb American answers which call the asker a terrorist symphatiser or unpatriotic, but why exactly should the world be great for what America has done. We hear about how sad it is that troops die every day and that they are heroes, what about the innocent Iraqis who they are killing everyday and who are dying in greater numbers. Is it not aiding terrorists by providing them with a recruitment supply and a training ground you can thank your President for that and if you thought you were hated before 9/11 its nothing compared to the hatred America has stirred up in the world in general since then. Well done to one and all.

In 1998 my wife brought home this paper that had several things about missing work in it 1 if you are going to die give us 2 week notice. A well known company just sent down new rules on missing work 1 of them was no Dr. excuse will be accepted anymore 2 if you have a loved one in the hospital you are to be at work 3 it has to be a state of emergency for you to miss work for bad storms of any kind, twister, flood,ice,snow,...if you have the flu come to work or you can get fired

Third quarter economic growth slowed to just 1.6% pushed down by the bust in the housing market.

But doesn't this mean that it was the booming house market (which was fueled by the Fed's low interest rates), and not the tax cuts, that fueled the recovery from the recession at the start of Bush's term in office?

After all, the tax cuts are still in effect, so if they were what was fueling the economy, we wouldn't see this slowdown, right?

The terrorists thinks so. No matter what you all think of bush of republicans or any one who supports the war don't you think it would be even worse if we left? The iraqi government would fall to terrorists and our children will be worse off because of our unwillingness to finish the job.

War is terrible, I agree but we can't run away regardless, because we will lose if we do.

What if we would have ran away in WWII? We lost lots of soldiors there but do you disagree that it was the right thing to do?

It's just a simple question so please refrain from hurling childish insults.
