It isn't over until the Fat Lady sings, the Democrats have won nothing yet. They are notoriously poor voters despite having majority numbers.
Furthermore this is only mid-term Elections, if past trends are to be believed, the GOP base will turn as usual and a sizeable number of Democrats staying home.
True they might gain seats in both Houses, but will it be enough to alter the political landscape?

always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face -forever."

Seen a few post that state the Republicans scare Mr & Mrs Jo/Jane Smith into voting for them by waving terrorist or other defense issues to the media.

So shouldn't the Democrats and or liberals say why they would also be good at defense or dealing with terrorist? Doesn't the fact that the Mr & Mrs Joe/Jane Smith trust the Republicans better for defense say something that the Democrats should be paying attention too instead of just crying foul?

My manager and Director can easily watch what Im doing and change anything while Im working Can they be trying to get rid of me? Do I have any rights in this? This could ruin my reputation. With no end to the War in sight and Troop levels consistently on the rise (even as of today: reference the New York Times), would it be the worst thing imagineable to let our Soldiers come home?

And with a Democratic President, is this actually possible?

Do people in the South still have any hard feelings against the Union for the Civil War and Reconstruction, or are they immaterial when compared to their patriotism for the USA?

Was there a general time period when Southern animosity to the Union began to wane under renewed patriotism from the United States? Spanish-American War, WWI?

Any thoughts?
