It does show the failure of government schooling! Does the "spellchecker" show up on liberal computers, or do they think everybody knows what they mean?

What an astute observation.
I was kind of hoping that some of the answers - and questions, for that matter - were written by people who are semi-bilingual. And, in that case, they are infinitely better at writing English than I am at writing their native language. Hopefully, this is the case - if not, I want all my taxes earmarked for education refunded, immediately.

YES! How much intelligence does it take to click on the "Check Spelling" button? My opinion? The US has one of the worst public education system in the world! They waste a lot of our tax money getting students ready for the 19th century!

Yes, I too am appalled at the spelling and grammar. Some would catch it if they just used the Check Spelling above. They are either too lazy or don't know any better. Maybe a little bit of both.

No! Not unless you believe any and everything you read here. Most are answering from bits and piece of what the responder knows,that's how I see it. There is a word limit and a time limit of someones thoughts even those with the best options.

Superficial opinions of superficial people. Spelling that shows limited vocabularies and grammar that makes me hope that I'm reading the opinions of someone who has little contact with English and tries to practice on such a web creation.

the educational gadget would not rigidity people to consume calorie encumbered rubbish. yet a greater robust question may be: Are questions like this evidence that our academic gadget is an abject failure?
