Vote for candidates that will protect our Second Amendment Rights!
That is the only part of our Bill Of Rights that gives citizens the "teeth" to protect our Constitutional rights!
Vote! Vote! Vote!
It might take 100 more years before it gets bad enough, but people will get tired of the way our government has been infringing on our rights!

Without being political on this, answer the question.

To make the government adhere to the constitution, you have to challenge the law in court. You have to show the law is unconstitutional. The tricky problem, you have to be charged with a crime first. There are many laws that are unconstitutional because of being vague. They still are on the books.

If you are ever charged with violating the law, look closely at the law. You will find some word or definition that is literally undefined. If you can force the judge to create a definition, you can scream a violation of separation of powers. The judge may not legislate. It won't make the law unconstitutional, but you win the case. To break the law, you need to initially lose your case. It is hard to get charged with a crime, lose the case and then take it to the supreme court. I am trying to do this, but I keep winning my court cases and I'm trying to lose. The situation is sad.

For all the talk about voting, when has voting ever changed anything? If you want to make a difference, you will need to spend money on the politician. You have to vote with your money. The good thing about this, you can vote with your money in every election. You can vote with your money even in foreign countries elections, well it might be slightly illegal...only if caught... Another thing, you can vote with your money on both sides, so no matter who wins the election, you bought your politician.

You think about it...The candidate with the most money usually wins. They can get enough stupid people to vote for them. Democracy is a failure. Capitalism won.

It's people like Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Washington Post to do investigative reporting when they see that something is wrong to bring it to the attention of the public. Although many violators slip throught the cracks, they eventually get caught, thanks to their efforts. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done and may be irreversible, but at least you know someone is looking out for our rights. Without them, we would become a totalitarian state. A strong Supreme court is very important. That is why it takes so long to confirm supreme court judges. The system is far from perfect, but it's better than anything else.

The 2 most peaceful ways to amend the situation, are:

1) Voting. Enough said. If you vote, your voice counts.

2) Create bills and get them petitioned onto a ballot. The government can vote in any bill they want, but the voters can permanently neutralize any bill that the government declares legal. You could even create a bill for vote to impeach the president...If you do, I'll sign it.

Such infractions are investigated by congress and ultimately dealt with in the Supreme Court.

If you personally get affected by a law, either by being charged with a violation of it or by being denied a benefit becuase of the law then you can challenge the constitutionality of the law. You challenge by suing in court.

The government is not the one directly responsible. We need to do away with THIS secret and evil group that's been in control of everything for far too long!...

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security

You have not listed any violations of the constitution. The constitution is a living document, it was made to be changed.

Your premise is completely wrong. The Patriot Act and others like it are there to protect us. You have been reading too many liberal sites.
