What is your opinion?

I'm for it.

Quote Leviticus all you’d like, but it’s outdated and not a part of everyone’s religion. The Bible also tells us to sell our daughters into slavery and kill men who work on the Sabbath, but if we can’t make that law, the Bible shouldn't come into consideration when debating gay marriage, either. The gay marriage protesters are simply using religion as their justification for discrimination.

Give me one legitimate reason to not legalise them.
(Key word, legitimate)

U.S. Economy: Trade Deficit Widens to a Record (Update4)

By Joe Richter

Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. trade deficit unexpectedly widened to a record $69.9 billion in August on a jump in imports that pushed the shortfall with China to an all-time high.

The deficit rose 2.7 percent from a $68 billion gap in July, the Commerce Department said in Washington, and exceeded the highest estimate in a Bloomberg News survey of economists. U.S. companies imported more computers, consumer goods and oil even as they shipped a record amount abroad."

When this is included in the mix, this so-called budget decreasewill be wiped out big time.

S.3930, a.k.a. Military Commissions Act of 2006, is the bill that Bush pushed for, that he said over and over was necessary in order to ensure our safety. It includes the controversial interrogation provision. The bill was passed on 9/29 and presented to the president on 10/10. He hasn’t signed it yet. What is he waiting for? If it was so important, why didn’t he sign it the second it came across his desk? For that matter why did it take so long to reach his desk? Typically it’s a couple of days from the time the bill is cleared for the white house to the time it’s presented to the president. In this case it was closer to two weeks. The president only has 10 days to sign a bill once he receives it. Could the congress have been giving Bush more time to find a politically opportune moment to sign the bill? That can’t be true. The republicans all said that this bill was critical to our defense. I can’t believe they would put partisan politics over national security.

If someone posts a question about Foley we hear about Studds from 30 years ago. If someone posts about Bush we hear about Clinton six or more years ago. If someone posts about the Ney we hear about Joe whomever from whenever.

Really - get yourself caught up we're in the here and now. Foley, Bush, Ney these are current day problems - stop living in the past!

Are you for or against it?

I am for abortion.

#1 People should not be able to tell somebody what they can and can't do with their life. You wouldn't know what's best for the mother as you are not her. Only she knows what is best.

#2 'A human life is formed at conception, it's muder!' That is simply a religious belief, and it can not be proven by biological fact. A fetus is not a living breathing human being. Therfore, it is not murder.

Also simply because your religion doesn't agree with it, it doesn't mean that others who do not follow your religion have to obey the laws of your religion.

#3 Abortion will never be eliminated. Before abortion became legal in 1973, they still happened. Women were having D&Cs in hospitals, buying abortion kits and even giving themselves coat hanger abortions.

You're either pro-choice or not... you can't legalize abortion for certain people in certain situations and not for everyone else. It might not seem right for a woman in a cert

I can't stand when people who are charged with a crime plead "No Contest". I mean it's quite simple if you ask me. Either you admit that you did the crime in which case you plead "guilty" or you didn't do it or just want to try and get out of it, in which case you plead "Not Guilty". Yet other defendants use this lame and cowardly "No Contest Plea' and legally that's supposed to leave the questin of guilt up in the air. Not for me. Using that cop-out just tells me your guilty but you don't have the guts to try and fight the charge. If I were judge, jury and executioner, the "No Contest Plea" and the "Guilty Plea" would be one in the same. In fact, I'd probably abolish the "No Contest" Plea all together because I think it's completely bogous. Also, those baseball players who were made to testafy before congress,.McGuire and Sosa avoided all the questions with the stupid "Pleading the 5'th" thing. That automatically tells me their guilty too. If not, then why not then why not give anwers

you think The US are bad people? HA!

While migrants in the United States have held huge demonstrations in recent weeks, the hundreds of thousands of undocumented Central Americans in Mexico suffer mostly in silence.

The level of brutality Central American migrants face in Mexico was apparent Monday, when police conducting a raid for undocumented migrants near a rail yard outside Mexico City shot to death a local man, apparently because his dark skin and work clothes made officers think he was a migrant.

They force them to strip, supposedly to search them, but the purpose is to sexually abuse them," she said.

Others said they had seen migrants beaten to death by police, their bodies left near the railway tracks to make it look as if they had fallen from a train.
