Similar to what's been done in London, there seems to be a new push to do the same for major US cities. I personally feel that this is not infringing upon our rights, as long as it is used properly and monitored closely by independent sources. Any thoughts?

I was the victim of a snatch and grab in front of my house. I followed the dudes and got them arrested and my property recovered. No harm to me or property.

The thugs know where I and my 6 housemates live, they were possibly gang affiliated. I don't know if I should press charges. What do you think?

If I'm a so-called conspiracy-nut can someone please provide an explanation. The official story explains how the trusses of the towers gave-way and the floors pancaked down on each other. Okay, makes sense, but it doesn't explain what happened to the core. The fire which weakened the steel was at the top of the building (thus weakening the steel at the top only) so how did this cause the entire 110-storey-high steel core to collapse vertically in ten seconds?

OK yesterday day i got fired from a job because i refused to call person an African American. like i told my boss right before he fired me to me there is no African Americans out there we are all American. and u don't see me calling myself a German American so why should i have to call them a African Americans. and further more none of them are even from Africa the guy that had me fired was from Chicago he was an American the same as me. i think that that trem just causes a a bigger rift in us as a nation by that term because it still them rubbing the slavery issue in our face.

What would happen to our economy/job markets/prices of goods and services if we totally closed immigration (de facto, not just de jure -- I mean like impenetrable borders)?

What would happen to our economy/job markets/prices of goods and services if we totally opened immigration?

I DON'T KNOW, BUT I'M GUESSING THE COST OF GOODS AND SERVICES WOULD RISE EITHER WAY.

In the former case we wouldn't have any illegals to hire at sub-minimum wage, but in the latter case we would have to pay legalized immigrants at minimum wage.

What do you think?

(Intelligent answers only please. There are lots of questions to vent your opinion for or against immigrants on, and this is not one of them!)

I want to thank the people on this site for the experience and insight they have given to me over the last couple of weeks and especially the last few days, I was new to this and now know that if I really want answers to not come here, There were a few that honestly tried to help and again I say thanks, you at least showed me where to go to get them and helped me regain some respect for the people who frequent these kinds of sites, for the rest you also made me count my blessings, the main ones I thanked God for were, One I didn't grow up in the South, and Two that my Mom and Dad where not brother and sister, the results are not pretty. The answer to the question I posted is: When you ask it here, Don't bother not answering I won't be back on, but please accept my sincere wishes for all of the self righteous people whom felt it necessary to judge my life nothing but continued happiness and may you always be as perfect as you are now, the burden must be heavy but you can do it.

How important are the upcoming elections? Extremely important! Below is a list of what we can expect if the liberals win. These elections are crucial. It is vitally important that you vote. Please vote and encourage others to do the same. As bad as things are, they will be infinitely worse if the liberals win.

The strategy of the liberals is to get Values Voters so disgusted and discouraged that they will not vote. If that happens, the liberals will have achieved their goal and they will be running our country.

Or is the fact that he is no longer president good enough? If that is good enough, will you stop bringing his name up? Or is that a necessary diversionary tactic from discussing what is going on in the world TODAY?

From wikipedia:
If the word is taken literally, it could mean 'against the enemies of the establishment, but not necessarily aligned with the establishment'. To make an example: If you take terrorism to be against the establishment, and thus disestablishmentarian, then those who oppose terrorism (but don't necessarily support the target of terrorism) could be said to be displaying antidisestablishment arianism.

In August of 1994, Mel Reynolds, a Democratic United States congressman was indicted for having sex with a 16 year-old girl. Despite the charges, democratic leaders did not discourage Reynolds from running for re-election. In August 22 of 1995 Reynolds was convicted of 12 counts including: sexual assault, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child pornography. Later, Reynolds was convicted on 15 more charges of bank fraud and SEC violations.

In August of 2001, democratic President Bill Clinton pardoned Reynolds who then ran for office in 2004 under a democratic ticket. Democratic senators did not ask him to stop running. Reynolds currently works for Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition.

The questions are, why did President Clinton pardon such a horrible criminal, why did democratic leaders not urge Reynolds to drop out of politics, and why would they continue to attack republicans over Mark Foley when they continue to let child predators work in democratic campaigns?
