Bob Casey, Jr. might have a lot of votes siphoned away from him by the pro-abortion Green Party candidate Romanelli because of this. This will ensure Republican Rick Santorum's re-election.

Yikes!!
Santorum voted himself a raise about 6 times,
while voting against raising minimum wage.

Yes, but he is caught between a rock and a hard place, because Santorum is the darling of the anti-abortionists and Pennsylvania is very conservative, so Casey has to be calculating that as a pro-choice candidate he would have even LESS of a chance!

Not all democrats are pro-choice. Some pennsylvanians are republicans. He could've siphoned away the votes from pro-choice voters but those are his personal beliefs, nothing you can do about it.

The Dems are still the big-tent party.

It looks like Casey has a good lead at the moment.

Pennsylvania is both a very Catholic and very blue collar state - you tend to get candidates from both parties who are thus both anti-abortion and pro-labor.

HAHA! CAsey is winning by double digits in the polls....Casey is anti-abortion but has said he will not vote to make it illegal.

I dion't believe abortion has anything to do with Rick Santorum's abortion record. I think his anti-abortion stance is because he is Catholic.
However, being Catholic does not necessarily mean that you are anti-abortion.

I'm not so sure about that. The Casey name is pretty valuable in Pennsylvania.

Because in the Democratic party its OK to express your genuine feelings, unlike in the Republican party where you have to tote the party line or be disenfranchized?

Ya mean another Democrat may get "Liebermaned" by His Party just because He has a conscience?
