From wikipedia:
If the word is taken literally, it could mean 'against the enemies of the establishment, but not necessarily aligned with the establishment'. To make an example: If you take terrorism to be against the establishment, and thus disestablishmentarian, then those who oppose terrorism (but don't necessarily support the target of terrorism) could be said to be displaying antidisestablishment arianism.

Chris J: I agree that you have defined the original meaning of the word. But what other word can describe how it is literally defined?

I think there is a reason for such a word to exist.

Um, antidisestablishmentarianism means opposing removing an official state church. The word has little meaning in the US, as we don't have a state sponsored church.

Don't trust everything you read on wikipedia.

Put several sticks together and let it stand by itself and see if they will not collapse. Put the same sticks and tie them together and observe the possibility that all may stand specially if you try spreading the bottom a little wider than the top. Is Christianity to you that strong as a religion of the world while you see them with so many denominations with everyone claiming that they carry the truth? Why do you think that inspite of their collective prayers everyday for peace, it looks that peace have been so evasive? Is President Obama succeeding with all his proposals by the way all our elected officials are dealing with him? Do you think his proposals are not good or do you think that there really are people within the government who will oppose him no matter how good his project is?

We are far from a seperation of church and state. Though it is true that officially we have no state religon, is it not true that there are many polititians *cough* bush *cough* who use religon as a tool to get more votes?
