Do you think,if we left Iraq, all the terrorist operating there will move to our country and start bombing us? What will be their goal doing that?Just to show hatread?
Or would they think since the "occupiers" left their country, they won't hate us as much, and their efforts will be aimed at rebuilding their country and their economy?

Do you see any advantage in agrevating our ennemies?

I am an old political science/ history graduate and have followed conflicts around the globe for years now. That situation was blown way out of proportion by the U.S. media. The actual number of deaths was quite minor. Although I am sure Lebanese civilians would disagree. Their economy took a huge blow. But overall, the whole thing reminded me of theater. Quite melodramatic. Both Israel and Hezbollah could get an academy award for their acting in that one. It will have little impact on future conflicts in that region. I kept on telling my friends from day one that it would be over in no time. And low and behold...

I work in forensic psychiatric nursing and am being prevented from doing certain tasks at work because I am female. These include restricting my access to certain patients because of their offending history. Whereas I appreciate that the trust must consider the safety of its employees, it is my choice that I be treated in an identical manner as male members of staff as I am paid the same amount. Please note I am not talking about gender appropriateness regarding dignity, (bathing etc), I am refering to my employees questioning my ability to carry out my job in a safe way because I am female. What are my rights in this situation? Serious answers only please.

Today, most states give all of their Electoral College votes to the candidate who won the state's popular vote. But there is no law that requires them to do that. There are a couple of states that give them out by percentage.

Here's a new idea, and I want to get comments on it.

Each state gets a number of electors equal to the number of House and Senate seats they have. Instead of giving them all to the overall winner, each Elector that came attached to a House seat gives their Electoral vote to the winner within that House district. The two Electors that you get for your Senate seats go to the overall winner for the state.

Result: you no longer have four or five battleground states, you have dozens of battleground districts and candidates have to run nationwide campaigns. The winner will be more representative of the people's votes, but statewide winners still get 20% of the Electoral votes.

What do you think?

Iraq is a mess. But that's no reason to stop. The U.S. should continue to demonstrate her Supremacy. What country should we invade next?

-Some Middle Eastern Banana Republic (Yemen, Oman)
-Some unknown country in the middle of Easter Europe (Latvia, Belarus)
-An despaired African country (Uganda, Zambia)

I have so many questions, but every time I ask a recruiter, I always get a different answer. My husband enlisted in the military. I want to know what will happen when he gets out of basic training. Like, when will we move? When does he know where we are going to live? What will I have to do when my husband leaves for Basic training. Any other advice to give me.... I'm just so lost..
I just wanna know when I get to move, where I will be, what I have to do to get there and who's moving our stuff.

Keep illegals out?
Defeat terrorism?
Spread democracy world wide?

How can the US keep illegals out of the country when we can't keep drugs out? Like a fence or two will really keep out them pesky terrorists and drug smugglers. How can the US government eliminate terrorists when we can't keep guns away from kids in US schools? I think the goals of the government are ambitious but a little too lofty for a bunch of people who can't agree on anything. The solutions presented so far seem as realistic as trying to cover the hole in the ozone with a bandaid. Anyone else out there agree or I just being to demanding by expecting solutions that might actually work?
