Do you think,if we left Iraq, all the terrorist operating there will move to our country and start bombing us? What will be their goal doing that?Just to show hatread?
Or would they think since the "occupiers" left their country, they won't hate us as much, and their efforts will be aimed at rebuilding their country and their economy?

Do you see any advantage in agrevating our ennemies?

Let's start from the back, about aggravating our enemy. If you want to get the job done, you damn well better aggravate your enemy and then some. The objective here is to destroy your enemy. You don't want him to survive because he will never be your friend, he will always be your enemy.

As occupiers, we are hated mostly by Islams extremists. There hatred for the US will always be there whether we leave or stay. The middle east is the world's trouble spot. We have boots on the ground there, I believe we should stay the course because we are able to respond much quicker as long as those troops are close.

It's Homeland Security's job to keep the US safe. This department of government is in place because the fanatical Islamists will continue to attack, or attempt to attack the US. Make no mistake about it, they will continue their attempts to harm the US.

GWB and his advisors, and the intelligence community that supports the president all agree in my assessment.

I do not agree with the Presidents assessment. I think if we left Iraq, Al Queda would take over and Iraq would be in worse shape than when Saddam was President. I do not however think we need to stay there until 2010 as what has now been officially stated by the US Army. Now, would terrorist follow us to the USA, maybe a few, maybe we already have "Sleeper Cells" in the USA, but they would be quickly eliminated and I do not see them as a threat. Now, with our poor diplomatic policies, who knows if Chavez in Venezuela isn't already supporting a terrorist training cell in his country which would be used to infiltrate the USA through Central America and Mexico!

A little late to pull out of Iraq, since we have left allot of blood on the ground there, and it wouldn't be fair for our brave men and women to just pull out, but we do need to tell the Iraqi government to get there military in high gear...which of course will not happen overnight!

First, Iraq was a mistake, where Afganistan was justified.

Second, We went into Iraq with a small force, and had no idea that we would be fighting insurgents after Saddams government fell. In addition we didn't have enough soldiers to guard all of the ammo bunkers, depots, etc., and this is why allot of the weapons and explosives are on the street in Iraq.

Third, we should of trained the Iraqi Army at the National Training Center outside of Iraq to insure the army is full trained and not killed on the streets like they are in Iraq. Every day, young Iraqi line up outside recruiter offices to enter the army and are killed before they even get to sign a contract. Training Iraqi soldiers inside Iraq was a big, big mistake.

Fourh, we should of divided Iraq into 3 smaller states one for the Kurds, one for the Shittes and one for the Sunni. Coalation partners could of helped us in working with the seperate states to build a government, police force, etc.

Fifth, the President has a unique way in scaring the American People by constantly reminding them that we will be attacked again, or the terrorist will follow us to America.

I see no advantage in agrevating our enemies, I believe we should negotiate, conduct diplomacy, and if they stab us in the back, then eliminate them instead of talking allot of sh_t like the President always does..he just "Yaks, yaks, and yaks".

at first, it is been 4 years. Obama and the liberals very own the undesirable financial gadget. he's made issues worse. confident, the financial gadget crashed under Bush, yet he isn't completely to blame for it. The democrats elected into workplace in January 2007 helped with that. The undertaking to get Bin weighted down became began way in the previous Obama ran for workplace. So confident, Bush does deserve some credit. yet Seal team 6 would not get lots credit, Obama has thoroughly forgotten them. certainly one of them even stated he felt forgotten approximately. So confident, the financial gadget now's Obama's fault. it is been 4 years. Are you going to assert that once 8, it is nevertheless Bush's fault? additionally, the full GMC bailout element became began under Bush, and Obama took finished credit for that. Liberals condemned Bush for waterboarding, that have been given us our solutions, yet you will not criticize Obama for his drones. he's droning extra suitable than Bush. i don't understand why waterboarding terrorists is undesirable yet killing harmless toddlers for selfish mothers is nice. Obama is a terrorist sympathizer and that i will have fun while he's long gone. And Bush in no way skipped over terrorist assaults, bill Clinton did. Bush went genuine into Afghanistan genuine as quickly as we've been attacked. He needed to guard his u . s . a .. And for the thought he lied to get into Iraq, the place is all this oil we've been meant to be getting? we at the instant are not getting any from there. And Obama had an entire year or extra to do in spite of he needed, the democrats had finished administration. i discover it unusual how liberals will supply credit for the undesirable financial gadget all to Bush and supply each and every of the credit for killing Osama to Obama. You adult men are pathetic

After 9/11 Bush said over and over that the terrorists attacked us because they hated our freedom. Iraq has given them another reason to hate us and it will not stop just because we leave. Wherever the US has troops in the middle east they will be targets. It's probably less safe to be a an American civilian as well.
We didn't just aggravate our enemies. We created new ones.

Der der der...They hate our freedom? No they don't! They hate us stealing from them, occupying their land and killing them! Put the shoe on the other foot for once people! You sayin you'd just sit idly by while Iraq set up camp in your neighborhood!? Sorry I was commenting on some dipstick earlier...Not you "Map"

To answer your question...

Who knows what will happen...but I will say this, if they are going to attack again, it will be while we are still OVER THERE! Why? Because we have lower defenses when we are at war.

It could go either way, personally, I think we should just leave already! We could focus on HOMEland security and for crying out loud, compare the death toll on 9/11 to the Iraqi war! And INCLUDE the innocent Iraqi people and their wives and kids. Seriously

Leaving Iraq would make us look weak and give our emenies the courage to perpetrate acts of terror all over the globe. Bin Laden didn't think we would stay in Iraq when Americans started to die because Clinton always pulled out like in Somalia. Terrorists hate us because of our way of life and the freedoms we have particularly women. Being nice to someone is viewed as a sign of weakness by our enemies.

I do think he has a point.
To leave the country as it is now would be irresponsible. America was supposed to liberate the country, not bomb the hell out of it and leave it in shambles.
It was irresponsible of his admin. to go there in the first place with no strategy in place for rebuilding, but if they leave now it will definitely become a rally point for terrorist networks, who WILL eventually seek harm against America.

There is no denying that there is a group out there who seeks our defeat. There always have been such groups. The difference is that today, the tactics have changed. Instead of attempting a convention war which they would lose, they use terrorism to achieve their objectives.
