Where are all the outspoken, attention-loving celebrities on the immigration issue?

So far, Danny Glover and Salma Hayek have been the only tinsel-town elites to speak out for immigration reform and to show support for the millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States.

"As a human being, I find this situation intolerable. As an immigrant, I find it offensive. And as an American citizen, I find it disheartening. The work that these immigrants do directly affects the health of the U.S. economy," says Hayek, a Mexican immigrant who adds that she has been speaking with immigration activists and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in an effort to "figure out what is the most effective way for me to participate in this movement," she adds. "My company, Ventanarosa, in solidarity with the immigrants, was closed this past Monday and will again be closed on May 1 in observance of the protests"

Any celebrities with the guts to stand up and speak AGAINST it?

I'm a Republican for the record; I wish that they hurry up and throw Mark Foley in jail before he knows what hits him.

However, why did Ed Kennedy get away with hit-and-run back in 1969? I'm sure he feels guilty for what he does but why is he still senator after this incident? And how did Patrick Kennedy get off scot-free while driving drugged up?

Hey, Robert Byrd may have been a KKK member but at least he repented.

That love our country, and who are patriotic? Why must you bash the war? Disrespect our men and women protecting your freedom of speech? Or does that matter to you? Do you just take the American way of life as a right, and not a priveledge, would you defend America?

Name one positive thing that has happened in the past 6 years. If you can't come up with one, then make the argument why you' ve done a better job than the Dems. I'm just curious if it can even be done without blaming Democrats, do it on your own actions, merits.

towards mexicans, indians or anyone who can't speak english...when americans are known for having altered spelling and grammar (so as to make it "easier" for them to understand? neighbor? color? write me instead of "write to me"... I've just seen a list of scathing postings from americans (about the mexicans) calling these human beings "animals" (mongrels) and other such vile and derogatory things. When in truth the puritans who landed their many moons ago, effectively stole land from the native indians. Then furthermore, when my best friend passed through the states (hosting educational seminars) he got a "thorough search" at the airport because he "looked asian"...i mean really, american buses are numbered because most americans are too thick to read their destinations by themselves...so its almost unfair posing an intelligent question like this...but surely, on the grounds of a loving God that most of you stand for (as I do) why are u all filled with such hatred??

President Bush, First Lady Laura and Dick Cheney were flying on Air Force One. George looked at Laura, chuckled and said, "You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy."

Laura shrugged her shoulders and replied, "I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy."

Cheney added, "That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy."

Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his co-pilot, "Such big-shots back there. ****, I could throw all of them out of the window and make 56 million people very happy."

Which one thing is most important to you, immigration, national security, the economy?

Why would you vote for someone who will support the one thing you are concerned about?

Would the candidates for congress lie to get you to vote for them?

How will you choose?

The San Diego fence costs $126.5M so a 700 mile fence will cost $6.4B.

I'm not real bright but it seems to make sense that you can buy a lot of enforcement for that kind of money, and after all is that not what everyone wants, enforcement of the current laws.

I live in Dayton, Ohio, I have handicap plates on my car, and I park in disabled parking spaces. At the college I attend I keep getting warning slips placed on the windshield of my car that say something along the lines of "Anyone caught using handicapped license plates or placards who are not handicapped or are not travelling with a handicapped person will be subject to a $100 fine by the city." Essentially, the security guards are assuming that because I'm young and not using a cane or wheelchair that I can't possibly be handicapped. What could I do if I were to get a ticket? How would they prove I'm not disabled, or that I'm not transporting a disabled person with me?
