They are private citizens. Do they not have the right to speak or fight back?

It is a matter of decorum and poise. If they are a comedian, they can drop an f-bomb on a heckler. If they are a supposed musical diva who epitomizes artisitic integrity, they should show some class.

I guess next time Helen Thomas asks GW Bush a heckling question, he should just respond "Shut the f*** up you decrepit old windbag ho!"

You wouldn't have a problem with that would you?

Why didn't she just ask security to remove the Jerk, anybody offended by her comments has the right to leave the room and complain and to ask for a refund.
She had the mike, the guards would certainly have heard her and solved the problem.
And if it was a comedian they expect to be heckled and they are measured on the wit and ability in responding to audience heckling.

I wonder if the heckler was a plant, would you have heard of her concert or her opinions if the media wasn't splashing this story everywhere.
No, instead she gets a moment of fame, she might even sell a few records instead of being a forgotten old relic of the 60's

First of all, why is it that celebrities feel like they can spew their political beliefs on us? We pay them good money to see them in concert, we don't want to listen to their b/s, we want to hear them sing!! Celebrities make a LOT of money from us.....we pay them to act, and to sing......we don't pay them to be politicians. They should just do the job they are there to do, not anything else!! They might be private citizens, but when I'm at a concert they work for me......I don't care where they stand politically, that's not what we are there for, we are there to see them perform, and it should stay that way!!

She did not need to use the F word to do that. The man paid 750.00 per seat to hear the woman sing not a DNC campaign add. They may be a private citizen , but she was paid to sing. Why do they think we care to hear her hate speech.

Becasue she's a loud mouth hipocrite and if I paid an azz load to watch her sing I don't want to watch Barbara S. drone on about her political beliefs and insult the president.

Not if they're a liberal! If they were a right-winger they'd be applauded!
