Given the fact that the only thing political partys ever do when they get in powe is lie, and use the out going administration as an excuse not to do what they said they would.

Yes to keep our dignity intact. Our votes nowadays are useless anyway. Stay home warm. Tony will do whatever he wants.

Bush promised a senior drug prescription benefit. We now have the Medicare Prescription drug benefit.

Bush promised to get the economy rolling again. It's doing great for the last 3 years, including averaging 180,000 new jobs a month for that time.

Bush promised to hold public education accountable with the No Child Left Behind Act. It's now the law.

Bush promised to continue the fight against terrorism and in Iraq (2004 election). He is doing that.

Bush promised to change the tone in Washington. Well, he's done his part. His discourse is always respectful and kind, even to his opposition who regularly accuse him of lying, being Hitler, a fascist, etc.

Bush promised to reform Social Security and start a guest worker program. OK, he has not succeeded, but he did try. Can't win'em all.

The 1994 GOP Reps. kept their contract with America, putting all 10 resolutions to the vote.

That's democracy, if enough people agree with your views and vote the same as you, you will change the government.
If not you are in a minority view and people don't agree with your views you must accept the majority opinion.
Its better than dictatorship.

I noticed how a few of them are back to pushing the old standby issue of abortion on here today...

I guess it's all they have left... kind of a "oh yeah, well at least we don't kill babies" approach...

sad thing is... that's all a lot of people care about, country be d*mned

We should all go polling but void our votes in protest of being taken for suckers !!!!

The elected party is only a face to blame - the country is run in exactly the same way, whichever party is "in-charge", wink, wink...

not voting is a vote, it means you have a vote of no confidence in anybody who lies.
