America is now caught up in a war against terror where there was never any weapon's of mass destruction found (A war for oil control and the world view was not considered), now America does not have the capacity to deal with a real threat of weapons of mass destruction (North Korea) and Bush is now begging for world support.

Why do so many people place so much blame at the hands of Colon? It's almost like people today have a zeal to throw mud on our cherished heros.
I don't care, I like the guy, and all he did to further humanity (literally and figuritively)!
Who's next on the list, Neil Armstrong?

Ok, here's the situation. My driver's license is suspended for three months. My new gf has two kids, is preg, and carless as well. I have only known her for about a month, but I feel my car would be better used by letting her keep it until I'm legal again. My question is if things turn sour, and she turns into a queen B about giving my car back, can I press charges or will I be unable to do nothing since I loaned it to her. She has not asked for this and will probably be unsure about accepting the offer if I make it. I think that her having my car will benefit us both as I will be able to see her and I will have the knowledge that there is one less source of stress in her life. I am sure that this is what I want to do, but I want to make sure that I want end up screwing myself over in the end. So, what do you think?

The 2nd amendment reads;

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Should we be allowed to stockpile bomb making material? Blasting caps? Nitrogen fertilizer in mass quantities? Nuclear devices? Dirty bombs? Infectious biological agents? Neurotoxins? Rocket launchers?

If my neighbor is a nuclear physicist doesn't the second amendment allow him to set up a missile launch pad with nuclear devices on board?

Would anyone think the second amendment applies to any of these? I hope not, but I hope you can see my point that they are not legal because they are a significant threat to the health and safety of all citizens. They are also inanimate objects (like automatic assault weapons). The sole purpose for owning an assault weapon is for killing. Their proliferation is a public safety threat - numerous studies comparing countries with and without them has shown it. Response?

The 'new' struggle for making English the official language across the U.S. with state govts passing an all english requirement and only translating for extreme emergencies in effort to halt the so called reduction in immigrants learning english because we've 'made it too easy to live here without learning english'-is it fair or unfair for the immigrants, if yes to WHICH immigrants don't the people who've been here for years have the advantage of learning english and accepting it- or is it as the university prof. said actually hampering on maintaining the maternal language such as spanish? Will putting more enforcement on english only in the U.S. help the problem in immigration or harm it?

If you were president what type of punishment do you truly think would create a decrease in illegals here and the ones that want to come. Also how would you punish the people that bring them here hiding them in their cars. (I know people did that for a fact and got away with it.) I always thought we should make another checkpoint for those coming out of Mexico into the US at the border and do a MORE complete check of cars and documents. And by the way I think cops should be able to run SSN, and a discription comes up with the social to see if the description matches the person and that way we could stop people with SSN that are not theirs. Just a side note

We have lost 3000 americans in this war and wounded another 25,000 to bring freedom to a bunch of people that do not know what it is .Voting is not freedom .It is what you vote for .They want jails and killing and torture of there enimies .Sunni shia whatever each side hates the other and wants to harm them .
Imagine the south during the civil rights movment if it was ok to just kill as many as you wanted to put down the uprising .America is the police in this battle between religious groups in Iraq And one thing the police and military got during the civil rights movment was a black EYE .
Lets learn from our own history and accept that these people do not needs us at this time .They are not ready for freedom .

My Aunt was a nun and worked in an orphanage.. The kids were treated well and had members of the community also help with their needs. They were dressed well, fed well, and went to school.
1. Foster Care - some people are in it for the money an abuse the kids.
2. Welfare - WHY should we reward a tramp Mom when she has more kids.

In the inner city they give the kids 2 meals a day at school anyway.

This way you can have decent people watching over these children in a group setting. Parents could get them back if they can support them.

I would NOT mind my tax dollars going to help the kids and I would DONATE MORE and I am sure many people would.

We should not give money to Moms with 10 children by 10 fathers, If they didn't get more money - maybe they would stop having so many kids...
Many also use the money (that should be spent on the kids) on drugs.
