It feels good to be against higher taxes, just like it always feels good to get something for nothing. If I gave you magic credit card and said you could buy whatever wanted but your offspring for generations to come would be enslaved by the debt you ran up, how long would you go before you broke down and went on a spending spree? I think you'd hold out for a about three hours.

The rich pay more taxes than the middle class. a point that the Democrankies don't want you to realize. Look it up. Most of the taxes paid in this countrt are paid by the rich for the benefit of the middle classes. Here in Broward County, in spite of the fact that home values have gone through the ceiling, taking the property taxes with them, the geniuses in our Democratically controlled County Government want to raise the sales tax from 6% to 7% which doesn't sound like much until you realize that it's a 17% increase. The purpose? To provide more public transportation. Public transportation in this couty has been a money loser all along but the Democrankies feel that, without it, the poor people won't be able to get to the welfare and social services offices. AX THE TAX!!!!!!!

Great question. First off, if your middle-class you have no reason to be a conservative. For that matter, you shouldn't be a liberal either. Both the left and right wants to stick it to the middle class. The only difference is the left is so much more transparent about it than the right.
The right wing have completely eliminated the moderates from government. Once the balance between right and left, moderates no longer get elected because of issues like abortion or gay rights. The electorate today seems to only want politicians who stand either to the left or right on moral issues.
Well, we got what we voted for, a divided congress that will never resolve a darn thing.

It's the whole trickle down economy of Reagan.....when we give tax breaks to the rich, they're more likely to go out and start businesses or expand their businesses thus hiring more workers. More workers means more revenue and less families needing assistance...assuming it's the people on assistance that will get off their duffs and go get the jobs !!! We shouldn't punish the guys who worked hard and made it big in life !! That's what makes us a great nation !! No matter how far down you start, you can work hard and win in America !!! Oh, except that the government wants half so that they can support the people who won't get off their duffs to go get the jobs that could have been possible with some tax cuts for the rich !!!

Because Middle class conservatives want to be rich. Lower taxes leave more money for the earner to spend. This creates jobs for others. With lower taxes, the rich don't spend money trying to avoid taxes, they pay taxes and spend money.

Bush tax cuts increased Federal tax receipts. Lower taxes means more tax money gets confiscated by the government.

Bush thinks the tax cuts will provide more tax money for all the big spending the Republicans have been doing. I believe he may be right.

The only conservatives saying that are the middle-class political leaders who get campaign contributions from the rich. Corruption pure and simple.

They are slavish, unAmerican peasants who hate themselves and their fathers. To escape from their own self-contempt, they want to have a group of people who must be worshipped without question and who don't have to do anything to prove their worth. This is actually sacrilegious, creating gods out of whoever has power on earth.

The followers do as they are told. They are unaware of, or afraid to look at how they are being used. They believe in this administration which has betrayed them and this country.

There thinking is that if the rich get richer....the they will pay the middle class more...and if the middle class makes more they will pass it onto the lower class....

The flaw in the logic is that the rich don't pass it on, they just buy Hummers.
