Conservative used to mean "try not to change things, because the existing is pretty good" now it represents changing things to fit an ideology that fits half of America while ignoring the other half. Actually, some Conservatives are on the same side as some more libertarian Liberals because they think the Constitution (a 200 yr old idea) is pretty darn good. If you think changing the Constitution to fit present day issues without thought of what that might do to the country long term (to fit your ideology) you are not wise...If we don't fight to maintain discipline (left or right) and keep politics as non-partisan as possible the country will will be hurt because of it. Don't support a candidate who has a voting history of idology before the Constitution. The Founders of this country thought long and hard to figure out a way to build a republic that would fit everyone, it would benefit everyone if you declined to further your own party's agenda if that action alienated 51% of America...that action would only serve to separate everyone. For myself, I am a Democrat (only because I believe the the power needs to be balanced in government...if Democrats get too much power and move things too far left, I will consider Republican candidates more seriously) but I intend to badger my representative to push them to obey the Constitution and keep thing fair and non-partisan.

Because you keep telling us that you will cut government spending and get things in financial order yet you keep expanding government in all areas. Waste and corruption continues to grow out of hand. If you promise us that you will spend less, then why do you keep spending more?
