Some company is going to come out with a high profile advertising campaign about how irresponsible it is to not put a GPS chip in your newborns arm. What if they get kidnapped, and you didn't put a chip in their arm!? Your a bad parent if you don't get the chip! Soon doctors will have the option of putting the chip in right away at birth. That way we don't ever have to worry about babies getting mixed up.

Twenty years pass, now 93% of new college freshmen have chips in their arms. They can't get into their dorm rooms without their chip.

Suddenly, it's weird if you don't have a chip, the chip is normal. It's a convenience. What if you need an alibi in court? Not having a chip leaves you open to lawsuit. Insurace companies won't insure you. It's like maintaining the handrail on the steps in front of your house, it's silly not to do it. Sure your every move is tracked. But who cares. As long as you're not doing anything wrong it shouldn't bother you.

I thought the democrats/liberals were all about freedom of choice, low age limits on sexual consent, pro gay, teenagers being able to make their own choices as adults, etc? I am confused as to why they are not embracing Foley as one of their own....like a brother coming home?

What do you have to say for yourselves? And, are Democrats any better, I ask you? What is there left to vote for? Libertarians can't win elections. It looks like we're stuck without any good, electable choices. And, one might ask, with Diebold electronic voting machines being used in many areas (even in my own state), what's the point of voting anymore, anyway? Is the American dream dead at last, killed by the unworthy citizens who inherited it?

I say yes. It is time to totally clean house. I think no more than 8-10 years If they can't get the bills they want passed in that length of time,maybe they should find other jobs.

I mean, they just talk about Jesus in the subjunctive mood when they ask what Jesus would have done, but they don't realize that Jesus wasn't a U.S. citizen, nor did the U.S. exist back then. Why don't they get their history knowledge and their geography straight? Otherwise they just talk about hemp.

Foley has long been known as a gay Republican. And Gays are constantly seperating themselves from pedophiles at every opportunity. By continuing to hound Republicans for this, they are showing this for the lie that it is. Either Gays ARE pedophiles and need to be controlled, or they are not, and Foley should be allowed to live his private life, just like the Dems want every one of their own to do. I recently saw a 3 year old girl being spanked a few times at Sears for getting lost. Poor thing, she was already freaked out from getting lost. I think a little painless swat is "ok" but slap, slap, slap on the butt and then verbal abuse was just too much to bear to watch. I didn't call the police but am wondering if I should have.

I got a question for my question!!!! The trooper wanted to know the offense "malicious mischief", the offical officer, the judges name... HOW does that make any difference to me wanting to not plead- guilty or not guilty? (btw, it was my daugher, she threw 2 eggs at a house) There was no 'not contest' option on the form. And he told me that I shouldn't waste time for how backed up they were. HAH!!! If he just told me how... I'd be done by now!
Can anyone either tell me OR explain to me why not yet?

New Orleans' mayor signed an order Monday requiring that large businesses use as many local and minority-owned firms as possible when they seek millions of dollars in tax incentives and grants for Hurricane Katrina recovery.

Mayor Ray Nagin's executive order requires applicants for the incentives to involve 50 percent local businesses and 35 percent women- or minority-controlled businesses whenever possible.
