What do you have to say for yourselves? And, are Democrats any better, I ask you? What is there left to vote for? Libertarians can't win elections. It looks like we're stuck without any good, electable choices. And, one might ask, with Diebold electronic voting machines being used in many areas (even in my own state), what's the point of voting anymore, anyway? Is the American dream dead at last, killed by the unworthy citizens who inherited it?

That is so depressing when stated like that! Even though I can see many people feeling that way. But the beauty of our country is that WE THE PEOPLE have ultimate control of our government. If we think the diebold machines are being tampered with demand paper balots. If your representatives are corupt kick them out. Americans need to get motivated and start taking responsibility for our own country. Hittler took over because the German people sat back and let it happen. We need to take control of our government instead of letting it control us.

Are you talking about Foley? If so, he doesn't represent the behavior of all Republicans or all Democrats. Both parties have had people involved in similar activites forever.
Also, Foley started off as a Democrat. Maybe that's why he's a perv.
Anyway, he's gay and he drinks (kind of a redundancy). He was drinking and emailing, NEVER a good idea. I know from personal experience...I've gotten myself into many a pickle by hitting "send."

I think your attitude is a good reason why we never end up with good candidates. Instead of complaining that your vote doesn't make a difference or isn't going to be counted, why not be determined to somehow make a difference? Not just at the polls. This country isn't going to become better is we just continue to point out what's wrong rather than trying to do something about what's wrong.

No, the American Dreas is not dead. Even if a forest burns to the ground, new life springs forth.
This is an opportunity to look within and ask the question, "What have I done for the Nation today?"
Nation first, party last.
We do what is truly in the NATION'S best interest

Well, lets see. The republicans make their immoral members resign, while the democrats defend theirs.

I feel your pain. the electronic voting machines are being challenged and possibly removed someday soon. it takes a lot of time to fix things unless you resort to open revolt which does more harm than good. keep the faith baby and be one of the good ones. we need each other.
