Foley has long been known as a gay Republican. And Gays are constantly seperating themselves from pedophiles at every opportunity. By continuing to hound Republicans for this, they are showing this for the lie that it is. Either Gays ARE pedophiles and need to be controlled, or they are not, and Foley should be allowed to live his private life, just like the Dems want every one of their own to do. A little less hypocracy if you please!

Yes the Boy Scouts don`t want gays as scout leaders. For this very reason that's labeled as homophobia by Liberals.
Now Liberals like Allen Colmes and others are saying, "he was gay you should have known he would be after young boys."
Lets list a little Hypocrisy
Gerry Studds (D -house) engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16 year old page over a 1 year period. He was outed as gay as a result but this child molester was reelected by Dems for the next 12 years until he retired.
Barney Frank ( D-senate) paid Steve Godie $80 a visit to provide sexual favors in his office. This is against the law in all 50 states. He later moved Godie into his house where Godie turned the Senators house into a Swank Gay brothel with customers coming and going day and night. Frank was outed when he was investigated as he tried to fix his lovers and customers parking tickets with his political influence. He feigned ignorance of anything. Democrat voters don`t care as he is still in office 16 years later.
Let us not forget the torrid love affair with Chandra Levi whose death is still a mystery. Rep. Condit (D-house) is still a prime suspect. At least voters kicked him out.
DC Mayor Marion Barry (D) and his, "the B**** set me up!" in the sex and drug scandal but Democrats kept reelecting him.

You need help with your deductive reasoning skills. First of all; for the homophobia impaired: Gay doesn't equal to Pedophile! Secondly, rather Democrat, Republican, or any other official party within this country; we as adults should look after children's needs first; and not some perverted since of caring such as Mark Foley's behavior; or that of the Speaker of the House with a cover up. Don't make this to be nothing more than what is really is; a group of trusted individuals who for personal gain; have betrayed the American people with lies, and corruptions.

I'm conservative but feel Foley got exactly what he deserved and anyone else involved should be canned too, no matter what party.
But this whole thing was planned to come out at this time. The material is 3 years old and then gets published on a Geroge soros finnanced website. Clearly political.
Funny that Gerry studds and Mel Reynolds didnt get the same treatment.....

Excuse me but what Foley was doing is a crime, it's known as pedophilia. Who cares if he's gay, but he likes little boys. BTW, it's republicans calling for all this investigation into the matter, not the democrats. The Washington Times (a conservative newspaper that usually supports republicans) is calling for Hastert to step down.

No they should keep on it.The more they stink it up the more likely That republicans in his district will check his name knowing that it was the dems fault they do not have a good republican name there.Foley's actions were unknown except to the dems and they released this information ONE day past the date that Foley's name could be replaced on ballots.

It's not the issue of being gay. It's the fact that the kid was a minor. Just because he's a Congressman doesn't mean he should get off the hook scott-free.

"To live his private life"... Were these your thoughts when the Republicans were grilling President Clinton for having sexual contact with a female of LEGAL age???
Oh, and don't use the philosophy of "Clinton did it, Foley just thought about it". If you ever watch Dateline NBC you'd know that even sending sexually explicit emails and/or suggestions of sex with a minor will get you jailed.
