that one of the main reasons people cross over illegaly is because the legal process takes so long?

my mom's uncle applied for a legal residency when he was 41. he just now got approved and he is over 80 years old by now.

this is an amazingly rediculously long time to wait.

who will agree with me that if america wants less illegals crossing over, we must first lighten the process of getting here legaly.

i mean seriously. if you are desperate, poor, and need an oppertunity in america, would you rather save your life now, or wait 40 years when its too late?

I am 16 years old and recently received a citation for first degree trespassing in North Carolina. I have a mandatory court date. What is the process in court? The citation i received states: Trespass- First degree without autorization to enter and remain on tthe premises of .. so enclosed and secured as to demonstrate clearly and intent to keep out intruders.
This is incorrect, I plan to bring a picture of the area showing no No Trespassing signs posted, as well as notes signed by people I was with stating that the gate all gates were opened for me to enter by someone who claimed he was employee with his managers permission. ( I also plan to bring a note signed by him.) Do I need to get a lawyer to respresent me or can I do this myself? If the charges are not dropped, I plan to ask for a prayer for judgment. What exactly does this entail? What should I bring to court?

....sign on the main road through town, at first papers said he would get wreckless homicide and aggravated dui, and all this, but now the charges are only, accident resulting in death, which is only a class 4 felony and just a regular dui, he had just gotten out of prison 3 weeks before, and now is serving the rest of his sentenced parole, but all the charges on the court case file, says not guilty and dismissed with leave to refile, what does this mean? Does this mean that after he gets out of prison he will have to go to court on this or is this ****** gettin off scott free???

Just a tiny portion of the printable exchanges between a middle age Congressman (who was supposedly fighting against child internet porn) and a teenage boy:

Maf54: You in your boxers, too?
Teen: Nope, just got home. I had a college interview that went late.
Maf54: Well, strip down and get relaxed.

Another message:

Maf54: What ya wearing?
Teen: tshirt and shorts
Maf54: Love to slip them off of you....

The language gets much more graphic, too graphic to be broadcast, and at one point the congressman appears to be describing Internet sex.

Federal authorities say such messages could result in Foley's prosecution, under some of the same laws he helped to enact.

"Adds up to soliciting underage children for sex," said Brad Garrett, a former FBI agent and now an ABC News consultant. "And what it amounts to is serious both state and federal violations that could potentially get you a number of years."

Looks like they are having a hard time finding an unbiased jury for this guy, one way and another....

"Jury selection began Tuesday with 38 people saying they couldn't impose a death sentence. Thirty-nine said they already had an opinion about Williams' guilt, and 27 others said they had strong opinions about illegal immigration that would affect their ability to serve as jurors.

Williams was convicted last year on 38 counts of transporting illegal immigrants, but the convictions were overturned on appeal."

Is this something all sides of the debate can agree on? Or is there another opinion out there?

Please dont drift off into whether Hillary is OR is not a viable candidate. Let's just pretend that the ***** gets elected. We can hardly expect Bill and her to cohabit again under the same roof, and beside Bill has--like Chimp is developing--a liking for non-blondes.

So, certainly, a divorce is out of the question for Hillary and, therefore, a Massachuettes Municipal Marriage is as well for dear Ellen and her, but everyone know that the twosome is a number.

--So! Could we expect to see Ellen blushing and grinning and sticking her great-big honker nose out alongside our President during White House official receptions?

(And thereby know they will be chasing each other upstairs later?)

By the way, here is a very interesting and very informative RUSSIAN magazine devoted to a particular topic of interest showing the two together during the videoing of Hillary's appearance on Ellen's show. --Touching, you know ??

If we instituted the draft again we would have a phenomenal number of benefits. We would have so much more respect for the united states. I dont think you could find one World War 2 vet that would tell you that the US sucks. We would also be able to handle all of the enemies that we are getting. For all of you that dont think we should be fighting the war on terrorism, what do you think will happen the moment Osama Bin Laden gets some sort of nuclear missle? You think he is gonna have fun blowing up some hills in the dessert? I wonder who they are gonna blow up first? As you ponder that...this also goes for the most recent threat North Korea. They have said they are on the verge of nuclear war with America? If we dont do something about this problem I garantee we will be speaking korean soon! Now tell me one bad thing about the draft...also I'm 18 years old and signed up for selective services, and I support the draft.

Since the christian right has hijacked the republican party to advance their own political religious agenda and want to impose their own beliefs and standards on the rest of us, they should form their own political party and join the fray openly and honestly instead of secertly manipulating the results with cash contributions and strings attached.
They have every right to have their opinions known and considered in the marketplace of ideas that is USA.

The would have to give up their much cherished right to be exempt from taxation and commence to pay their own fair share, but that is what entitles them to have their opinions considered.

To attempt to sway legislation and at the same time evade taxes is just not right or fair or legal or constitutional or godly. religions should stick to saving souls and forget worldly matters. God gave men free wills so they could choose to sin or not. Man does not have to make laws and use guns and prisons to prevent sin. GOD will judge them.

Yahoo seemingly chooses stories that paint a negative picture of Iraq, Israel, President Bush, Guns, Individualism, etc, while I constantly see smiling pictures of Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Cindy Sheehan, the U.N., starving children,... I am by no means a right-winger, but am I wrong here? Why is Yahoo this way?
