- More immigrants will regularly travel home to visit relatives (right now it's so hard to get back into the U.S. that many who traveled back and forth just stay in the U.S) Fewer people will choose to stay permanently in the U.S.

- Higher prices for fruit and ag produce: legals and Americans don't work for ridiculously low wages in dangerous conditions, so agriculture would need to pay a bit more

- Less crime

- Immigrants will participate more in the economy and have greater bargaining power. They will become better consumers.

I assume you mean "illegal aliens", since you speak of legalizing them as changing things.

For one thing, it'll knock out one of the props of the nation-state. A nation, in international law, has a government that controls its borders (or tries to). If they stop trying, they stop being a nation -- with results nobody can guess at right now. Back when I worked for the State Department we regularly got complaints from people who wanted to go to nation X (often Singapore or Indonesia or Saudi Arabia) and weren't allowed in. We always had to explain that if a nation didn't want to let an individual in, however arbitrary or frivolous their reason was, their decision settled it and the US Ambassador couldn't even make a protest in their behalf.

Costs to taxpayers will go up as now they'll be elligible for public services.
Tax proceeds may go up given that theoretically they'll use real ss numbers and pay into it and into local/fed tax coffers (maybe)
Some will still get paid under the table

We'll get the next generation of illegal aliens

More taxes can be collected (for the work they are already doing), some prices may go up slightly as employers have to start paying decent wages (for the work they are already doing), it will enable more of them to get auto insurance (for the cars they are already driving), and health insurance (for the care they are already receiving.

"Immigrants" are already legal.
Are you refering to illegal aliens?
Illegal aliens are not "immigrants".
Illegal aliens are criminals who are in violation of United States law.

Illegal aliens are not going to get any more amnesties.
The day of political correctness gone wrong is over.

By law, all illegal aliens should be deported.

- Criminals will be sent the message that they will be rewarded for their crimes instead of punished.

- They will have to start paying taxes and employers will have to pay fair wages.

- The next batch of illegals will want the same thing.
