Why do so many of you allow politics to get in the way of your love for your country? You are willing to sell out to Islamic radicals rather than support your president. This is puzzling. The left hates so called conservatives in this country so much they are willing to embrace ultra right wing conservative Islmaists.

15 US troops killed in Baghdad due to war/ bombing Tue Oct 3, 7:23 AM ET

BAGHDAD, Baghdad (AFP) - Four US soldiers have been killed by a roadside bomb that struck their vehicle in northwest Baghdad, the US military said. Eleven were killed Sunday.

The blast happened at around 6:00 pm (1500 GMT) Monday night, the same day the US military announced the deaths of 11 other servicemen, also mainly in Baghdad.

Thousands of US troops are currently patrolling Baghdad in part of Iraqi government plan to stabilize the war-torn capital. But the USA is losing like Vietnam.

The latest fatalities bring the number of US military dead since the March 2003 invasion to 2,725 according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures. It looks bad for the USA military. The USA is getting a rear end thumping in a big way.

There is plenty of evidence to support the case that he was wrong about WMD's in Iraq. Iraq had no links to Terrorist. In 2003 He stood underneath a "Mission Accomplished" Banner aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and announced an END to major combat operations in Iraq.... 17 Troops have been killed so far this month... today is the 3rd of October 3 1/2 years later.....

Don't you think that it would be a good thing to add that 20 million base (illegal alien estimate) to pay into the system? Here in Europe, we've come to terms with the fact that our population is greying and fast. WIthout the new immigrants to pay into the system, it will collapse. Why such hostility then to newcomers?

The status of Christians in Turkey has long been difficult. Greek Christians in Turkey have dwindled to fewer than 5,000, from an estimated 180,000 in 1923.

Much of the difficulty revolves around the Orthodox patriarchate, which is forbidden by law to train new priests or to elect a new leader who is not a Turkish citizen.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT TURKEY IS TRYING TO "STARVE" CHRISTIANITY WITHIN ITS BORDERS.

THINK ABOUT THAT AS YOU HEAR TURKISH POLITICIANS CRITICIZE THE POPE AND TURKISH TERRORISTS HIJACK PLANES.

what do demorats think about the FairTax and why? by the way the FairTax very closely resembles the VAT system used in Europe, where most people are left-leaning. I only mention it because I heard democrats dont like the FairTax plan. if you think its unfair, please show it. if you think its a conspiracy, dont answer this.

Has anyone ever died as a direct cause of smoking weed?

By direct cause, I mean, "Man, I smoked weed, but now I'm dead because the weed is dangerous, dude" and not, "Man, I smoked weed and drove and hit three people and crashed into a wall and now I'm dead."

Has smoking weed ever caused cancer?

I guess I don't understand what the hold up is...it isn't that I am dying to smoke weed...I actually got bored with it years ago. I just think it's a silly law that needs to be repealed...

The act was passed Saturday, Sep 30. It prohibits online gambling by placing criminal sanctions on financial institutions and banks if they fund an entity involved in "illegal gambling" operations. Some things such as horseracing and fantasy sports have been carved out/excluded from the definition of illegal gambling, but common games such as poker and blackjack are hit.

I will admit my bias and say that this legislation is crap. The government should not be telling us what we can and cannot do with our own money. They say it's to protect the children and to stop gambling addictions... there are many other less restrictive yet more effective means to protect children from gambling websites such as universal age-verification accounts (which could be implemented if the government looked into regulation instead of prohibition). As for addicts.... I've never heard an addict complain that he couldn't find a place to gamble his money away. Taking this away doesn't help the addiction
