15 US troops killed in Baghdad due to war/ bombing Tue Oct 3, 7:23 AM ET

BAGHDAD, Baghdad (AFP) - Four US soldiers have been killed by a roadside bomb that struck their vehicle in northwest Baghdad, the US military said. Eleven were killed Sunday.

The blast happened at around 6:00 pm (1500 GMT) Monday night, the same day the US military announced the deaths of 11 other servicemen, also mainly in Baghdad.

Thousands of US troops are currently patrolling Baghdad in part of Iraqi government plan to stabilize the war-torn capital. But the USA is losing like Vietnam.

The latest fatalities bring the number of US military dead since the March 2003 invasion to 2,725 according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures. It looks bad for the USA military. The USA is getting a rear end thumping in a big way.

Of course, I couldn't find this article any place on the web. I tried searching every aspect of it and used different search engines. I'm sure it's another fabrication by Erudite. I did find where more military died this weekend, but nothing at all like this story. The indication that it's a typical lie of his is ""But the USA is losing like Vietnam". Those are his words, not what's printed in newspapers. Also, "It looks bad for the USA military. The USA is getting a rear end thumping in a big way". Definitely Erudite wording and not something that comes from the press.

Give it up Erudite. So many of us are onto your ways. The more you do this and the more you fabricate, the more I believe you're either a terrorist or being paid by liberals. Nobody otherwise would be so ignorant to keep posting the same trash and create lies from a newspaper article. Pathetic.

yeah the marines arnt getting a...butt thumping [ really mature by the way, keep in mind your talking about fellow americans lifes...? ] If you knew anything about the war in Iraq you would know how many insurgents we have killed. Which is stagering way higher then our death toll.

By the way you cant be getting butt thumped when the enemy is so afraid that they have to get all their KIA's by planting IED's and hiding in the tree's till a convoy or patrol walks by. Oh or sniping and running away...oh lets not forget hidding a mile away from a base and launching mortars....

do some researching before you make yourself look anymore irgnorant and immature, or maybe join the military and do something for your country besides down talk it....

The US military is getting a thumping because they are being held back. Do people really think that the US is using all of it's military might. The US has weapons that have not been used in the war. We could drop a few nukes on the area and be done with the war in Iraq. I feel that the US is trying to fight the war in the most humane way possible. Now it is war and innocent people will die and that is horrible but unavoidable. I wish everyone felt the way I do and choose not to fight. But there was a need to fight.

They're not getting a thumping. This is war. There will be casulties. With all the technology, we are losing less lives than in every war before this. And our poor soldiers and Marines have a hard time going in and getting things taken care of because the terrorists are hiding behind civilians because they know it will slow down our military when the retarded American civilian public has their outcry. God Bless our Troops.

I just heard from some Marine friends in Iraq. Don't believe everything you read as news. The Marines are kicking butt and are doing great. More over they are on good terms with the local population. Don't believe the negativity.

15 soldiers out of the 150,000+ that are there is not a thumping. Its called war.
What would all of you people who cry and complain about casualties all the time have done if you lived back during WW2 where thousands were being killed each day.
I bet you would have a heart attack

Another completely fabricated story brought to you by the habitual liar named erudite....

Place the opening sentences in a search string on google news and you do not come up with this story ANYWHERE. Once again, never believe anything this person posts. He never links the article, for when he does post an article, he also adds fabricated 'details' to it to twist the story around to his warped point of view.

Report this habitual liar to Yahoo whenever you see him violating any of Yahoo Answers' rules....

In the news, Marines are reported separately from the other US forces. So if there were Marines killed/wouned in action, it would say "Marines" and NOT soldiers.

Because it is not conventional warfare with a fixed and Identifiable enemy. Most of the deaths do not come from military engagements, but from IED's (roadside bombs and booby traps) There is very little that can be done to combat this type of warfare.
