Americans, and christians alike make fun of Muslims about the rights of women in Islamic society, and boast about the freedom of the western women, then why the Americans never elected a women President in 230 years.

Unofficially, we have already had a women President. Woodrow Wilson, while President suffered a stroke in 1919 and was incapacitated for the remainder of his term. His wife Edith assumed de facto control of the government and therefore became, unofficially, the first woman President. It was during her tenure as "President" that the 19th Amendment was ratified, giving women the right to vote.

Because until, at the earliest, the 1970s, it was thought that women were incapable of doing such a job. Many thought that their emotions would get in the way. Even in the 70s, when women started expressing an interest in leaving the home to go to work, many people, both men and women alike, were appalled. Given that, it's no wonder that a woman has never been elected. Further, no woman has ever run to my knowledge. It can take centuries for people to get over such strict prejudices.

The right one hasn't come along yet, but she might one day, if someone doesn't have her kneel in a soccer stadium and put a bullet in her head. Oh, wait a minute, Muslims do that, not Americans. Sorry.

Good question, there has been talk about in upcoming elections of miss rice running, mrs. clinton running, or oprah but just hold your horses there will be a woman president sooner than later.

For starters: We just don't have time, with most of us working full time and single handedly raising our children, who has time to run for president? Also, men are terrified of powerful women.

Haven't found one we can trust yet. Many men say the same thing. Women, too. If Condi runs, I may vote for her. We could do a lot worse...

Because the purse strings are controlled by conservatives. They would never support a woman US President.
