For the last few days , it seems , there is news of a defense system capable of protecting our troops from Rocket propeled grenades .
True these systems cost a lot around 400,000 or so but do we need to even ask about the cost or who developed it .
I have said all along that war is a business and this is just another in a long series of events that goes to prove my point .
What do we have to do these days to get some responcible action out of our government .
THE mexicans marched in the streets waved flags and gathered to protest being removed from america and it seems to have worked .
They keep coming in and nothing much is done .
Republicans wanted a huge guest worker program that allows them cheap labor and does not solve the problem .
So i guess i am wonddering what will it take for americans to demand anything of our government .
IT was bad enough when Cher raised money and provided testimony in congress for helmet padding to prevent thousands of head injuries and still nothing .

Ever since watching that wonderful, fact-filled documentary, Loose Change, I felt like something was fishy. I mean, when was the last time you saw a thin-skinned, aluminum, mostly-space object like an airplane hit a steel, kevlar and concrete reinforced, three foot thick wall with bulletproof glass windows and NOT leave a large hole? All it left was a small hole. And it didn't even do much damage to the eight other walls in the inner rings that are similarly reinforced with kevlar, steel and concrete.

Just to prove that this is a big conspiracy, I am going to take a ball of aluminum foil, march right down to my bank's steel vault, and SHOW that I can throw it hard enough to punch a hole through the closed door. And won't Bush be sorry then because THE TRUTH WILL OUT!

I think everyone must admit that Bush is not an articulate man. Nor is he a man of vision. He has a great deal of trouble trying to get his ideas out to the public and always leaves his audience wondering exactly what is on his mind. This lack of articulation has caused a great deal of confusion in the country, which has led to all these wild notions that Bush is a Nazi warmonger.
I am not a Bush supporter. I never supported the idea of invading Iraq. In gleaming thru several of Bush's speeches, his underlying thought for invasion seemed reasonable: Iraq had in the past used its oil revenue to finance terrorism around the world. We are at war with terrorism. His notion seemed to be to topple the Iraqi government and replace it with a democratic government to deny terrorist revenue to wage their war.
That is certainly logical thinking. However, Bush's lack of vision prevented him from seeing the void in an Iraqi government would open the country to an extremists takeover. Iraq is now in danger of being taken over by a worst group of extremist. If these people take over the oil fields, they would have an unlimited supply of money to send suicide bombers into every shopping mall in America.
Bush's mishandling of Katrina pales in comparison to the bungling in Iraq. His lack of vision has led us into a hornet's nest. We cannot cut and run in Iraq. At this point, we must deny the extremists access to the oil fields. It's likely going to take a larger troop buildup and a draft to raise the army needed.
It's clear that Bush's notion of invading Iraq was aimed at beating terrorism. His lack of vision, however, has led us into a war that is going to cost many more American lives.

I was just wondering, I havent heard this happen at all ever since we started the war on terror. I haven't heard it happen either whenever the terror alert goes to orange or red. Am I missing something here? If we are trying to fight terrorist, shouldn't border, port and shoreline security be at max levels with very tight monitoring?

It truely doesn't matter what skin color you have.It doesn't make you richer or smarter or more healthy. You can't become a nobel peace prize winner just because you are a certain color.Honestly, the color of your skin should not gain you automatic entry into an easy life. So,if all this has been eliminated, then for what reason do these people have to feel they have a more superior race than any other?

Then you have those that feel the need to ask:"Am I racist if...?"WTF???If you feel the need to ask, then that generally means yes.You would think that they would be embarrassed to ask that question.

Sorry,ya'll.I just got a big attitude problem from reading some dumb question about racism again from this guy with a real stupid avator thats ten feet long.Doesn't anyone else ever get tired of it?

John Reese has brought suit against the board of directors of Ace Inc., a company in which he owns a stock. John has information that the directors voted on issues affecting the company when they stood to benefit from the positive votes. How could John find out how the directors voted and what contracts were entered into as a result? What steps in the litigation process will allow him to find out this information?

I mean, I know they've been using secret evidence for years, ever since the Omnibus Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 was passed in the House and Senate with vast bipartisan support, and signed by Bill Clinton. And it was even used hundreds of times to detain people who had no idea why before Bush came to office.

But come on, get real here. This is BUSH! And he had a drinking problem, and probably still does. So anything he does is as bad as what a drunken monkey would do.

And he's using this secret evidence against terrorists! Come on, it's not like they are members of drug cartels. It's ok to use secret evidence against them, as they have before. But TERRORISTS?! Come on, that's going too far.

I recently took over a job as Director of a non for profit 501 C 3 organization. It is an ambulance service. We have 4 paid members and 40 volunteers. All the paid staff are classified as salary. Our departments board of directors has given the paid staff a certain amount of vacation time. My question is if a paid employee has used all their vacation time, is it legal to adjust their pay to a per day perdiem. Say for instance a person makes 423.07 a week gross and they miss 2 days, can we by law figure what they would make per day and only pay them for the 3 days they were there?
The paid people are paid to be there M-F 7am - 5pm or until a volunteer gets there could be later than 5 pm. Are we required to pay overtime? Also, the paid employees are required to work one 12 hr shift per month on the weekend. Is this legal? I was told it was legal, you just couldnt make them do anything while they were volunteering that they would do when they were paid such as cleaning duties, etc.

People don't get it. I am making fun of people who think that there was some big conspiracy with that, as if no one would have cared on 9/11 if that one building hadn't fallen.

Jesus. No wonder there are so many conspiracy dunces out there. God help us if they actually put down their doobies long enough to go vote.
