Iran does not fit into any "world norm".

This problem is a catch-22. On one side how can any nuclear nation demand that another nation not develop the same weapons. It is a hypocrisy. One the other side, the President of Iran has more than voiced his desire to destroy Israel and America. This makes Iran a threat to US security by their own choice. There is no clear cut answer. If you are a citizen of the United States you have to be concerned, to not be would be stupid. You must also consider most of the UN is against Iran developing nukes. In this case world opinion is against Iran, not just the US. The decision on what will happen in the future is really in Iran's hand now, but if they continue on their present course it is only a matter of time before Israel or the US acts against them in their own interests.

Iran is not violating the norm. Rather the United States is playing double politics by allowing Israel to have and others not to have. Does USA think Arabs are inferior to Jews and want to wipe them off using Israel?
Iran, Ryria, Jordan Egypt, etc should all have nuclear technology and use it for good as Iran is already doing for civil use.
The cluster bumbs used on Lebanese by Israel during the 34 days war were made in america.

As a country that signed the non proliferation treaty,Iran is not breaking any norm...They can have a nuclear program as long as it's in civil purpose only...

iran is taking a very undiplomatic approach to the mid east crisis. I think arming terrorist organizations should have been expected to fail since it is simply not right to kill innocent civilians in israel.

nuclear programs and irrational and dangerous threats to israel is not right. I dont think there is any need for retaliation. There has to be a diplomatic solution which all sides will have to abide to it, there will be no more resorting to violence.

its stupid and insensitive to suggest israel should be wiped off the map, and then develop nuclear programs.

ahmadino will have to stop worshipping hitler and stalin.

Some say it is hypocritical to ask some nations to not develop nuclear weapons when we (and many others) already have them. But, remember, many of these countries signed treaties or are parties to agreements that they are breaking.
