Why is the hole in the Pentagon wall too small to be caused by a plane?

Ever since watching that wonderful, fact-filled documentary, Loose Change, I felt like something was fishy. I mean, when was the last time you saw a thin-skinned, aluminum, mostly-space object like an airplane hit a steel, kevlar and concrete reinforced, three foot thick wall with bulletproof glass windows and NOT leave a large hole? All it left was a small hole. And it didn't even do much damage to the eight other walls in the inner rings that are similarly reinforced with kevlar, steel and concrete.

Just to prove that this is a big conspiracy, I am going to take a ball of aluminum foil, march right down to my bank's steel vault, and SHOW that I can throw it hard enough to punch a hole through the closed door. And won't Bush be sorry then because THE TRUTH WILL OUT!

The airplane actually shrunk before it his the pentagon, d'uh.
The real question is, why didn't the pentagon collapse like the towers? :P The terrorists are devious indeed.

Of course, I've always thought it was pretty swell how the towers which only received a glancing hit collapsed so quickly.

Are you really interested in truth? Or have you are already made up your mind? If you have made up your mind then I am wasting my breath. If you are interested in truth then you should examine both sides of the argument with a critical eye. If the latter is the case examine the link below, then compare it to what you heard in Loose Change.

To those who think there was no plane. There is plenty of eye witness testimony from people who saw the plane flying low over the mall in Washington that day, but then that doesn't fit real well with the conspiracy now does it.

To the wargame crowd. The military plays all kinds of wargames where they try to map out every scenario possible. The conspiracy suggested would require hundreds, if not thousands of people to pull off and cover-up. The idea that this many people could keep their mouths shut forever defies human nature. Further if the military had been involved a nuke would have been much easier, and would have required a lot less people to pull off.

Miss J: Wow what an interesting rant, and you call other people close minded. I might be offended if I wasn't laughing so hard. The last resort of chronically disenchanted, when your arguments don't work just call everyone else stupid, because then they are sure to see your point.

People seem to be missing the sarcasm in you question. Good grief! But what I find really weird is how anyone could imagine getting away with such a con. Let’s say, for example, that it really was a missile rather than a plane. Wouldn’t there be 1,000s of eye witnesses claiming “Hey…that wasn’t a plane, that was a missile!”? But what I find equally weird is that, in light of the conspiracy theories, I would expect lots of people to post comments saying “Hey, I was stuck in traffic near the pentagon that day, and I definitely saw that it was a plane that hit the pentagon - not a missile.” But I have heard almost no eye-witness reports either way. I asked a question about this here in YA, but no one gave an eye-witness account. I don’t really believe the conspiracy theorists, but I find the lack of eye-witness accounts of the pentagon incident to be a bit strange.

i think it mat have bounced of the top part in the front where you can see and then went through 1/4 of the way, where you cant see, through the pentagon.. then the part that the plane skipped on collapsed from damage later on.. ID, that's what i think, there is video on yahoo video for the pentagon plane hitting it.. you can analyze it if you want
