I have a step in-law who's father was a nazi soldier. After world War II he came to this country and when asked his occupation he said he was a soldier. Somehow he ended up being buried amongst our brave soldiers that hew fought against. Any suggestions?

Recently discovered information indicates it was not Arlington. Turns out to be a veterans cemetery though. So the story isn't as interesting.

God's taking care of all that now, let it go. Besides, his neighbors in Arlington are probably giving him enough grief!!! LOL

I would speak to someone at Arlington to see what suggestion they may have b/c I doubt they really want a Nazi buried there. However, you do know the many German (Nazi) scientists were absorbed into our government after the war right? Seriously it is more prevalent than you may know. Sorry that was a bit off topic but it is troublesome and I think if more people cared about this it might make a difference somehow.

Wow! I'm also for making a novel out of this. You could explore what he did in Germany, how he made it to America, what he did here, and how on earth he ended up in Arlington. But, given what you know, what sort of documentation do you have to support this. I disagree with the people that say let it alone; it's a huge honor for American soldiers to be buried in Arlington. It's not just the final resting place, it is the absolute tribute to the sacrifice you gave for your country. A Nazi should not be interred next to the men that gave so much up because they had to fight him.

Nazi soldiers were hardly bloodthirsty monsters, many were quite cultured (though in a specific, narrow way). If they were racist sons of bitches, well, I can't vouch for all the american soldiers... some of them could've been the same.

If any of this is true, you should document everything you can and write a book about it... People love that kind of story and it should make you a buck or two...

You would have to have a stack of documentation proving your allegations thicker than a dictionary.

Nothing, who cares?!?! He is just a dead body. There are tons of issues that affect us today, that are more important than where some dead bones are rotting!

I'd have a hard time believing it. I think your step in-law is full of it, but nice story.
