i have to write up a script for a skit and we have to kind of poke fun at the vietnam draft (and by that i mean, for example, something like in Boy Meets World where they used "Flash!" for the Russian sattelite one). I looked up some slogans like "1, 2, 3, 4, we don't want you effin war" and of course "hell no, we won't go" but other than that i have no idea what to do. I would really appreciate some suggestions (someone told me that i should try and incorporate it as a reccurring theme like the "flash!" thing)
anyway, if anyone out there experienced the 70's and the draft, could you tell me what people would say about the draft so i can get an idea of what to do. i have to finish this by monday so if you guys could help me out that would be great...thanks in advance.

Regardless of your political stance - if one party took charge of the issue, would you vote differently?

During the Arpartied era in South Africa passbooks were used to restrict the movement and domocile of people. This benefited the privialiged few at the expense of the majority. Is this not what is happening on a Global scale? Migration historically is a very effecient way of transfering ideas and knowledge. Are we holding back human development because we currently are only focusing on allowing capital to move freely and not humans. Also could it not help reduce ignorance and fear of others, as this seems to me to be the route cause (or at least the catalyst) of so much conflict in the world.

Do think somebody who is incapable of work through mental incapacity should get more dosh from the state in benefits than someone who is out of work because he has been made redundant and there are no other jobs on offer?

I'll murder unborn children
I'll destroy the institution of marriage
I'll sacrifice the rights and freedoms of Americans so I don't hurt the feelings of terrorists
What am I?

This was, at one time, a idea that helped create a strong country, but is still an undercurrent in its' society that has lead to war, selfishness, and lack of compassion.

If McCain wins the presidency in 2008, will he be too old, and not mentally and/or physically unfit, to carry out his duties? Could he pass away during his term? I hope not!

Is this why we never hear anything about population control until it results in war?

Everyday...everywhere I go, I am surrounded by immigrants, that are not US citizens...mostly Somalians. I am not racist in any way, shape, or form, but I am extremely aggravated. How can these people be here living legally in the US, receiving public assistance, and free medical care while we teach them English?
I really NEED to know, and every letter I write to our Senators, and Congress men go unanswered.
I am so deeply troubled in this realization, because I am married to a Canadian citizen. He does not really want to live here but he wants to support my girls and me, until we can legally go to Canada. He is banned from US soil. Immigration legalities have us separated. He has a clean background and no medical problems. He would not be a burden on our society, unlike the immigrants I see crowding the welfare offices.
I don't understand these laws...and even the lawyers are clueless. I miss my husband. This is so extremely painful. I just want to understand. It makes no sense.
On another note...at this time, I cannot immigrate to Canada either. It's a spendy process which literally takes years.

The last time I got pulled over was by a local Sheriff officer during early afternoon. I got pulled over for a broken, right side, tail light bulb. I got off by a warning and was told to fix it asap, which I did, but I had a question. The place I got pulled over was between two apartment complexes, which to me was very "secluded." I was a bit uncomfortable when the Officer asked me to step out of my car so that he could show me and pin point where the tail light was out. The rule is that if I get pulled over, of course, I will pull over, but my question is, "Do I have the right to keep on driving until I see a safe spot like the gas station to where I feel comfortable pulling over at?" Being a women and getting pulled over especially by a male officer makes me uncomfortable when they pull an individual over when the location is "secluded" from other people.

Recently, I was driving on South 101 going to Gilroy for shopping when I seen an unmarked patrol car with blue light who had pulled over this individual and the weirdest thing was that this Officer didn't have his CHP uniform on. He looked like a normal guy in a normal car with blue lights. I thought that guy was either an imposter trying to look like a CHP officer or he was off duty going to work. I heard on Bay Area news few months ago about creepy guys pretending to be CHP officer's pulling over unsuspected drivers, but does anybody know if CHP is using new tactics to pull over drivers like what I mentioned above about unmarked patrol cars and officers not wearing their appropriate brown uniforms? I know their car is usually black and white with red, white and blue lights. Does anybody know?
