This was, at one time, a idea that helped create a strong country, but is still an undercurrent in its' society that has lead to war, selfishness, and lack of compassion.

I hope so. All societies develop over time, peoples ideals change.

It is a shame, but the "selfishness, and lack of compassion" is very evident on this site.

Someday, but also someday we will have a country with enough people who will not fight for this country and America will cease to exist
as we know it.
I believe when that day comes there will be alot more war and suffering in the world. Read history, it does repeat. At the end of every world-power another one always comes along. Always with military strength
America is only world power that has not kept total control of the countries it has defeated in war.

I hate the war critics lol. I guess if we "America" just sit by and allow everything to happen that the world would be a safer place allowing iran to have nukes is good, allowing north vietnam to have nukes is ok, allowing muslim terrorist to penitrate us is ok, to take over iraq and try to help them become civalized isnt ok, and all that but hey look on things from the other side of this we havent had an terrorist attack on america soil since 9/11 most people who sit here and critisize bush forget that
