They are the underdog but they are kicking butt all over the place. And they do it for a good cause. They are protecting Iraq against the USA. If we were invaded we'd also fight just like the insurgents. I say be nice to the insurgents because when they beat the USA we will have to deal with them just like we now deal with the new Government of Vietnam. At one time we were fighting Vietnam and now we are friends with them. Same with Iraq........We will one day be good friends with the people who beat our butts.

There are people that come on here and simply think that Americans should be divided into hate/name calling groups like Liberals/Conservatives - Republicans/Democrats. Do you think the majority just comes on to name call or are there really legitimate citizens that want to understand the country we live in and the views of our neighbors? The reason I ask is that many of the question(s) posed on here are from people that are simply looking for answers that corroborate the way they feel.......is this not a waste of what this forum could be?

The joy of the independance of India was marred by the tragedy of partition.
I think the release of INA soldiers Sehgal, Dhillon, Shahnawaz released the joy of victory, and impending independance along with a sense of pride in Subhash Bose.
Celeberating Subhash Bose's birthday on January 23, 1947 in Anarkali, Lahore was the happiest time in my life, and represents the very short window of victory, joy and happiness in the tragedy-laden history of India since independance on 15th August 1947.

...do so many people come here from other countries and decide to stay?? I'm not sure of the exact stats, but I think it's a safe bet that all of your European nations combined don't have nearly as many new citizens per year as the USA.

during a recent matter at work my union rep did not return calls and this resulted in me missing an appeal deadline and as it was costing me over £10 per month, I feel they have failed to deliver.

I just saw parts of her interview on Good Morning America. I've never heard someone talk so fast---she makes me anxious! It's a good thing I'm fluent in English or I wouldn't be able to understand her.

Here's the situation, I made a verbal agreement with a surveyor over 4 months ago to have a 1/3 acre surveyed. The surveyor said it'd be done within 2-6 weeks and gave a price of $500-$700. I asked him to call first before he did anything to make sure I was there at the time and we could go over everything. Well, 6 weeks pass, I don't hear a word. Then 4 months pass nothing. Then one weekend, I head up to the place at the lake and notice stuff has been moved around, someone climbed over one of the fences(its over 6 feet in height, so it took some effort), and I notice the 2 pins are in the ground. Then, I receive a bill from the surveyor 2 weeks later charging me $1400. Can he really do this? The work was never done within the agreed timeframe and the agreed price. Any input would be appreciated.

his public defender is saying that he most likely get 9-16 months and he has already served 6 and has yet to be arraigned. he has no prior record and the robbery was unarmed. he supposedly got away with 7 grand. i was just wondering how realistic is it for him to get 9-16 months considering this crime? it seems like too much of a lenient sentence for a crime like this. please answer if u have knowledge of the law and please serious answers only!

"Sixty percent of Americans oppose the war in Iraq. The latest polling of Iraqis indicate that 80 percent want the U.S. to leave and a majority believes that Iraq will be more stable without the presence of U.S. troops. Many intelligence reports indicate that the war in Iraq has radicalized more European Muslims and strengthened terrorist recruitment efforts throughout the world. And yet given these facts, the Bush Administration refuses to consider a policy aimed at a timely and responsible disengagement of our military from Iraq. Instead they insist on staying a course with no end in site. They insist on staying a course that has been riddled with catastrophic mistakes. They insist on staying a course that is costing the American taxpayer 8 billion dollars a month. They insist on staying a course that is counterproductive in our efforts to eradicate terrorism. They insist on staying a course where the death tolls are increasing by the day, one that has taken the lives of over 2,600 of our own and is now claiming the lives of 100 Iraqis per day.
Compare this against the backdrop of the war in Lebanon. The United States and virtually all other members of the United Nations Security Council continue to push for an end to the war between Israel and Hezbollah. The lead taken by the United States to end the violence and to stop the loss of innocent lives has been applauded. The Bush Administration is moving with speed and deliberation to end the one war, but not the other. Those who speak of ending the war in Lebanon, to stop the loss of more lives, are seen as skillful diplomats. Yet those who dare speak about ending the war in Iraq are labeled by Bush's henchmen as unpatriotic defeatists. The American public opposes the war in Iraq. The Iraqi population opposes an open ended occupation of their country. The International community opposes the war the Iraq. So, why the dichotomy of the two wars?"

was arrested five yrs ago for endangering the welfare of a child by a court marshal. no charges were filed. after i bonded out of jail no court date was set nor was there a case number. now all of the sudden if a background check is done this shows up under a dfs(division of family services) report yet my criminal background check comes up clean and the report on the arrest says unsubstantiated....how can this be possible for it to show up not to mention it's been 5 yrs. ago. a srgt. from the sheriff's dpt. told me that this wasn't a formal charge just a notation. if nothing shows on my criminal background check then would an exspoungement even do me any good?
