Both are horrendous events in evil. Yet the bombing of Pearl Harbor was a military strike, targeting not civilians but enemy militia. The use of surprise and subterfuge has always been an accepted art of war.

The incarceration of Japanese Americans, however, though lesser in scale, may be worse in type. Before you jump on me, yes, more people died in Pearl Harbor. But this incarceration was the act of a nation imprisoning its very own people for no justifiable reason.

Think about which is worse: America's pre-emptive attack on Iraq, or if police suddenly broke into your home tonight and shuttled you away to Alaska simply because you are black or latino or female.

So funny, people saying this administration has morals...how do you account for that? Because he's 'born-again'? (republican translation for 'unaccountable'!)

We have to look into the reality, the whole media is controlled by jewish lobbies, they show as hizbollah is shooting over the shoulders of labanoese innocent people,i am a person who is totally against Al-Qaeda type terrorists, but in case of hizbollah, people love them,al-qaeda and and hizbollah are two different groups of people, al-qaeda is a sunni muslim where as hizbollah's are shia, for alqaeda it is their beliefs to kill innocnet people, not only those who belong to other religion and even the shias, but the shia community or hizbollah has no such believs, for shia muslims it is a sin to give pain to anyone whether a muslim or a non muslim, but what the jewish lobby is doing, they are representing hizbollah as alqaeda to the people of the world, which totally wrong.people of lebanon love hizbollah, theu elect them in election, therefore trying to kill hizbollah or labanese or those who living peacefully with their religion is a real sin.

Only China and the US won't sign. Landmines kill and blow the legs off some 20 000 kids in Africa a year. Could it be that the US still manufactures 70% of these landmines, and don't want to lose the business?

From my understanding, the France-U.S. relations has soured since Iraq war because French weren't supportive of the war at all. There was a huge anti-France sentiment in the U.S. at the time and some people in Congress even brought up an idea of changing the name "French fries" into "Freedom fries."
I don't know what kind of person relationship President Bush has with counterpart President Chirac but I never hear about Bush visiting France or vice versa.
How is the France-U.S. relations now? What is American public's sentiment toward France now? After all, France has been/is a key ally of the U.S.

...for their outrages? The terrorists fire a few missiles or guns, then run away and let the civilians, most of whom are too afraid to run away, get killed. Is this manly? Is this how the brave Muslim fighters show how courageous they are? Why don't these cowards come out and fight like men? We see how brave they are when they force innocent people to act as shields. I say they should wear dresses and hoods if they want to act like women!
