They are the underdog but they are kicking butt all over the place. And they do it for a good cause. They are protecting Iraq against the USA. If we were invaded we'd also fight just like the insurgents. I say be nice to the insurgents because when they beat the USA we will have to deal with them just like we now deal with the new Government of Vietnam. At one time we were fighting Vietnam and now we are friends with them. Same with Iraq........We will one day be good friends with the people who beat our butts.

For your information... Communist Vietnamese killed hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese as well as imprisoned and tortured many thousands more for years after the war ended. How we dealt with Vietnam's government after the war was cutting all ties to Vietnam and let them suffer economic suicide. Millions more Viets died of starvation, infant mortality or simply not having access to basic health care while their communist government slowly realized that they fvcked up and started to kiss up to the U.S. again.

You are correct about there being similarities. Those insurgents that you love so much are killing their own people or innicent civilians just like the Viet Cong and the communists did in Vietnam. They're hiding behind civilians and killing them to make a statement that the vast majority of their own people disagree with. You should also make note of the differences.

The communist Vietnamese rallied behind reuniting their country, and never thought of taking their fight into our country. Many of the insurgents in Iraq are not Iraqui. They come to Iraq because they hate Americams and westerners. They will take their fight to our country if given the opportunity.

You cannot 'be nice' to the insurgents and expect them to be nice right back. These people are brainwashed into what they believe, and the only practical way to deal with them is to kill them before they kill you.

Brave? Brave men who hide behind innocent women and children, slit throats of people who are there trying to help iraq (civilian contractors and the like) and blow each other up while fighting us. Yeah, they have a real stable government too and will in a few years right? By the way, i am in iraq, so i guess i should just call it quits, when people like you at home want to bow down and suck up to religious fanatics who want nothing more than to kill you based on the fact that you are not muslim. Go move to iraq, i dont want you in my country and would let you take a suicide bomber straight up your a@@!!! Get out of my country.

You can't compare Vietnam with Iraq. Vietnam was wholly a political war whilst Iraq is more a religious-bent war (excluding the non-existant WMDs as the excuse to invade). Iraq actually is more moderate in their religion then Iran. Same goes for Lebanon. It's that trouble maker Iran with its lackey Syria that's upping the ante.

Well there you are erudite....

I haven't run across any of your anti-USA, USA/UK soldier bashing, pro Iraqi, go-go-go radical Muslim Insurgent adoration, Israel baiting tirades.

As always let me make it clear that I do not agree with or support any of garbage that you spout.

But let me add that I believe most of what you print in your Yahoo!Answers site is intentionally written and constructed to anger and force the average US citizen (especially active duty service members and veterans) to consider, evaluate and respond to your comments.

Of course, if I am wrong, I have no doubt that brave, underdog insurgents will be glad to let you join their ranks. Oh. by the way I would be interested in your source(s) that claim the USA and Viet Nam are good friends.

You're on crack.
FYI: They're not "beating" us. They're not even hardly targeting us.
If they're so brave, why do they keep targeting civilians; their own at that?
When America fought guerilla-style in the American Revolution, we at least targeted the military.
Insurgents are punk pu$$ies who want nothing more than disruption rather than exercise power in a democratic process that gives EVERY faction a voice in government.

And the fact that you support this makes you as bad as them.

How can you call them brave insurgents when most of them are not Iraqi? They are going to Iraq to kill Americans and Iraqi's.
How brave would you think they were if they were on your street bombing you and your neighbors?

Nothing. Some people even admire the French.

If they win, they will be called patriots and revolutionists just like our forefathers who really were terrorists in the minds of the British, so I can see your point. Anyone willing to die for their cause should be admired on some level, even if we do not believe in the cause

Is it wrong?

Nah, dog. Man, you served for six years to protect your right to admire whatever child killing cowards you please. I just wonder how good their math is over there. Don't they realize that when they use suicide bombers, eventually they run out of soldiers?
