previous experience exhibits that there is not at all a end to mid east conflicts. fairly, activities are set in action which will set off some substantial seen variations contained sooner or later, alongside with Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon 6 years in the past. subsequently, in a month's time from now there will be no very final end yet we are able to correctly assume that: a. a soft ceasfire, mediated by utilising third events, will exist between Israel and Hezbolla. that's going to be broken often times by utilising Hezbolla, an replace of fire will happen, and then the section would be quiet returned. b. Israel will shop, a minimum of in the mean time, a protection rigidity presence in South Lebanon. c. Negotiations with the aid of third events will happen in regards to the replace of the two abducted Israeli infantrymen for Lebanese and in line with possibility Palestinian prisoners. d. Hezbolla chief Nasralla will modern the situation (the undeniable fact that Hezbolla survived) as an significant victory against the Zionist entity and united statesa.. e. The violence in Iraq will proceed in spite of what happens in Lebanon. f. some very own variations would be achieved contained in the Baath regime in Syria however the final functionality of Syria as supporter of militant communities in Iraq and Lebanon won't shrink. g. No sanctions would be taken against Iran concerning its nuclear skill bid. h. workers variations contained in the Israeli defense force will mirror the Israeli government's dissatisfaction with some generals and a few intelligence chiefs. A yet unfelt yet a turning out to be paradigm shift will carry the Israeli public opinion in direction of a greater militant stance, ensuing in a harder attitude to the palestinians and to the Lebanese. The rightist Likud occasion would connect the Israeli government.

First off, they did not retreat. Both Israel and Lebanon signed a 'negation of hostilities', and a handful of troops were called back into Israel's territory (and, ironically enough, 'bout 8 hours ago or so, Hezbollah launched missles into S. Lebanon, trying to kill the Israeli troops that are waiting for UN troops to stabilize the area... so once again, Hezbollah has no qualms about killing its own Lebanese just to get to the Israelis).
Second, Hezbollah started this incident by taking two of Israel's soldiers. I don't blame Israel one bit for being sick of their nonsense... kidnap soldiers, demand ransom, Israel pays, Hez kidnaps more soldiers/suicide bombs civilians, demands ransom, Israel pays, ad nauseum. 'Tis kind of like cops in a big city... they arrest a criminal for a violent crime, the criminal is let out a few days later, then they're called back to arrest the same criminal, ad nauseum, until they're sick of arresting the guy for the 10th time in a month for the same violent crime, and beat him senseless if he resists arrest.
Third, Israel was called to use the utmost restraint, and proportionate force, against Hezbollah. And they did so, out of respect for the rest of the world community. Had they've been allowed to use their fullest potential, Hezbollah would only be in the history books now. Once again, showing that Israel is willing to act like a respectable member of the world community, and Hezbollah has no such respect, as they use methods like suicide bombing of civilians.
Fourth, Hezbollah hid their troops amidst the populace. It is impossible to single out a major leader while he's hiding in an apartment complex full of civilians, and while wearing civilian clothing. On the other hand, Israel followed the rules of war, with military uniforms, and out in the open.
God bless Israel, and the Star of David FTW.

They didn't retreat, they signed the ceasefire. Hizbollah doesn't have a military so to speak and no one would go into an all out war against Israel so actually there was nothing stopping Israel from ploughing through Lebanon. But your right, a month later and hundreds are dead and homeless and neither side gained anything.

Arabs have a tradition of celebrating defeats.
How can Hizbollah be victorious when it is being replaced with an international force in South Lebanon?
How can Hizbollah win when 500 of its men lost their lives against the IDF?
How can Hizbollah claim victory when its offices and command infrastructure has been demolished by the IAF?
South Lebanon was once upon a time Hizbollah territory, now it's gone... controlled by soldiers of foreign countries - this is the shame of the Arab world because they are not fit to run a country and need outsiders to see that you behave like civilized people.
Israel is always in total control over all its lands including parts of it in Syria, Palestine. It will always be victorious over the cowardly bands of bandits who use women and children as shields.

It is well know that Israelis are cowards, they can only move in group and carrying lots of weapons that is always the case in Palestine.
They were able to achieve NOTHING from this war, they only achieved More hatred and a bit of change in public opinions.

It seems the Israeli leadership didn't have the courage of it's conviction. Maybe it was also slightly influenced by the "fear" of Jew-hating world opinion. All I know is that if I were the Israeli leadership few of these motherless terrorists (Hezbollah) would be celebrating anything today. Unless they were celebrating another million, vaporized martyrs.
