The US might not have had their military on the ground helping Israel, but they did help them politically, and that was by supporting them, giving them the international backing from their side to go ahead with their plans. This is because in a place like the middle-east, the only ally besides the Saudis the US has is Israel, and they need to maintain it in order for their plans for the region (eg. Iraq, Iran, etc).

Ah I hate to burst your bubble of propaganda, but not one American soldier, tank , aircraft carrier was engaged in the fight between Hezbollah and Israel. The war was not against 'Lebanon', but they seem to allow Hezbollah in the country, America did not help anyone, know what your talking about before you talk.
And last time I checked NOBODY one, it was a ceasefire. No one won, no one lost, it was a stalemate.

For the same reason Iran helped Hezbollah.. America may have influence on Israel, but they cannot tell Israel what to do. I think a lot of people overestimate the influence that the US has on Israel.

We Americans are just about the only ones left that like Israel. God has always had His hand on Israel because they are His chosen people, I'd rather help them out than anybody else.
