I'm not on any side in fact Im not religious or aphiliated what so ever. I beleive this is an advantage. But Hezbollah kidknapped 2 soldiers. Instead of doing a prisoner swap, which Israel has done many times, it decides to flatten an area which 'might' have Hezbollah fighters in it. Apprt from the fact that this tactic isnt working, how is it justified to capitulate civilian homes and infrastructure with it "high precision" weaponary.

I realise that Hezbollah are dispicable terrorists who are firing rockets at innocent people but the vast majority of the force is from Israel and its killing hundreds. Your thoughts please.

Is Tony Blair using his position as PM to look for US based work when he steps down? He seems to be spending alot of time networking across in America, mind you not alot happening in the UK...Another ME crisis in which we will be trageted by terror groups, crime & violence on the rise, the NHS in a mess, immigration out of control...oh yes I nearly forgot Iraq & Afghanistan...when he gets home he is away for two weeks on another freebie holiday whilst Prezza sorts us out...please can this government go quickly. ( By the way I am not promoting either a Tory, Lib Dem or any other party...I just think it is time for some new, strong and independent leadership

I just happened across this. Had anyone else heard this quote?

Do you think other celebrity Republicans will leave?

What about Britney Spears? (Okay, that's a joke... Her own music videos are too deep for her, so I don't trust that she understands anything about politics)...

No one in America in this day and age can possibily be unaware of the dangers of drinking and driving. So, being aware that you could kill somebody, and taking the chance anyway - would you call that attempted murder? Do you believe that with MADD and other organizations fighting this cause so diligently, that one of these days it might actually be a reality?

You submit tax returns every year and if you have overpaid you get back the extra amount you paid. That's called tax returns. Don't confuse that with tax cuts.
Tax cuts mean you pay less taxes. The current administration has given everyone tax cuts (or so they claim). In order to actually understand the effect of the cuts, compare how much you paid in taxes during a year with previous administration as a percentage of your annual earnings and then do the same for the current administration.
Use both percentages (previous admin and current admin) and find out the tax on your current income. Subtract the amount under current admin from the amount under previous admin. That's what the tax cut means to you. If the difference is negative you actually paid more taxes.

But anyways, I don't know how many of you actually will do this. But if you think about it many of you will actually discover what a tax cut is. It's not a tax return.

I challenge anyone willing to the following:

1) Define 3 issues/problems the U.S. faces, either domestic or foreign.
2) Explain why they are important, your rationale for choosing them, and some information regarding them (cause, effect, etc.)
3) As best you can, construct a solution to these issues.

I will read every answer in its entirety and select the most compelling one as the best answer.

Feel free to criticize the current administration (or support them), but do not do so in an unfounded and slanderous fashion. I will only consider answers with sincere replies and well argued points.

No gibberish, profanity, or outrageous/offensive claims please, as I will report you.

I find it funny how a lot of people say this. First off look at the american government slowly taking your freedoms away and keeping you from gaining wealth. Why don't you fix it, it's hard isn't it. How do you expect other countries to do this so easily, and what do you think would happen. If a civil war started in that country the US would interfere and side with the government just to keep the country in the state that it is so it could still supply cheap labor to America. Not only that it would feed you garbage through the media that this civil war is nothing but an act of terror and the people that are trying to take over the government are communists. Then the people that were trying to take over the government to change it and make it work for all it's citizens will be called insurgents and terrorists, when in fact they wanted a better government for all people. Then instead of illegals you will have refugees from that country here, just another thing to bit-ch at.

I was in a car accident about 2 months ago. I was rear-ended and pushed into the car in front of me. The guy who rear-ended me was found at fault and ticketed. My car was totalled. I went to the ER to get checked out. They had me follow-up w/ my regular doc a few days later. And now I am in physical therapy 2 times a week. His insurance company has paid me for me car. We haven't settled the medical claim yet. Is there anyway to figure out how much you should settle for, other than saying "hire an attorney"? As of right now I don't have plans to hire an attorney. And the extent of my injuries has not yet been determined since I am still getting treatment. So I am just looking for some basic info. Anything would help...even a range. Thanks!
