Best thing that you can do is go to your local recruter where they inlisted through and ask them how to better locate them. If you have a company number or ship (depending on which branch) this will help the process along much better for you. Good luck but know that it takes LOTS OF TIME TO GET MAIL TO AND FROM IRAQ!!! (I should know I have a bit of experiance with that. I was navy.) I hope you find your buddy.

Hon...... I understand (completely) your concern.
But if you really do have a friend in Iraq by that name you could endanger his very life by publishing it here.

Call your local recruiter for the service your friend is in - start there. If this person is not a blood relative, and they havent contacted you first, there may be only a little they can do while the war is on.

If this is an "emergency" of some kind, you can try to contact him through Veteran Affairs or the Dept. of Defense. Often though, they will not be very receptive to trying to track down people, but if you have a good reason for it, sometimes this works.
