I have been told that on corporate farms when one works a weekend, the employee is suppose to get a day off if they work the following weekend; ex. gets friday off then works the weekend, then works the next week and gets weekend off. My brother-in-law works on a corporate farm in NE. and he was told he has to take an extra day off during payperiod as it is NE state labor law. I work on a different corporate farm and I have to work 12 days in a row and then I get a weekend off? Please send me the law if you can find it. Others I work with want to know, too. Thank you.

The northern and southern states are divided on countless political issues, from presidential choice to immigration policy to the situation in Iraq. Wouldn't having the United States and Confederate States as as allied yet independent countries solve a ton of problems? It's very likely that slavery would have been abolished in the South regardless within a couple decades (if not by their choice, then eventually by the action of the UN or similar organization), and that the US and CS would have established peaceful interaction, a strong trade relationship, and open borders. Northerners wouldn't be complaining about their psychotic cowboy Texan president, Southerners wouldn't have to listen to protests regarding border policy from Alaskans who've never even seen an illegal immigrant... Could it have worked?

I was pulled over for "supposedly" going 49 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. It happened in a little town called Northmoor, Missouri and the officer clocked me at the very top of the hill. Now the most I recall going looking down when I reached the top of the hill was 40 MPH. When I saw the first posted sign stating the speed limit I slowed down and was actually going 35 MPH. About a block down the road the cop pulled me over. I told him I was that I was only going 40 at the most but he said he clocked me at 49. When he issued me my ticket he wrote down 48 instead. Its been almost two weeks since the ticket was issued and I never recieved it in the mail. I just got off the phone with the court clerk and it was returned because it had the wrong address. The clerk said the ticket would cost me $90 to pay. This is my first speeding ticket ever. I'm really good at following the speed limit and usually catch myself only going about 5 over. When I see it I slow down and use my cruise control.

You know what i'm sick and tired of people attacking everyone who is not like them. Even I know that illegals are not all mexican but it seems that everyone that hates illegals hate mexicans. That's just wrong, you people are stupid, why can't we just like each other and deal with issues separately. I've meet a couple of mexicans and they are anything but rude, they are nice and maybe i'll marry one when i'm older, legal or illegal. You anti illegal people seem more worried about race, color, ethnicity than the illegal issue, you guys are stupid.

I worked for a company who subcontracted work for companies like Boeing, Lockheed-Martin and Raytheon who all build airplanes, helicopters, tanks etc. which help in the defense of this country and the protection of our servicemen and women. They started shipping work to Mexico to reduce cost and starting expecting us to reduce quality so Mexican made materials would be O.K. to use. How do other people feel about this?

In Indiana when a teenager drops out of school they get their drivers licenses taken away. I love the idea of that. What do you think? I think it should be a national thing instead of just in Indiana. How about you?

I'll be the first to admit that he is very far from perfect and there are many things that I disagree with him on but the liberals seem to blame him for everything. I think it shows just how lazy the left really is. They have no answers of thier own so they just scream insults to Bush. How pathetic.

All of the countries in the world that come the closest to the U.S. economic system are still profoundly socialistic countries without any interest in becoming "capitalistic only" countries. Countries outside the U.S. seem to only be interested in making everyone in their own country's "equally miserable all around" instead of greatly improving upon their own economies for the better of the majority of their citizens. Too many people around the world are brainwashed to believe that socialism and communism are the best forms of government that will ever exist on Earth when this is truly not the case. It's no wonder that so many people decide to immigrate-both legally and illegally-from their countries of origin to the U.S. to work and/or live their lives. For everyone who is truly anti-capitalist, if capitalism is truly so bad and so wrong because it discriminates against all of the different social classes, then why do many people continue to come to the U.S. to live and/or work?
