I worked for a company who subcontracted work for companies like Boeing, Lockheed-Martin and Raytheon who all build airplanes, helicopters, tanks etc. which help in the defense of this country and the protection of our servicemen and women. They started shipping work to Mexico to reduce cost and starting expecting us to reduce quality so Mexican made materials would be O.K. to use. How do other people feel about this?

I quit my job after working 30 years for this company 'cause i felt like I was selling my soul for a paycheck. I emailed everyone I could think of including the homeland security and the FBI hoping someone would investigate either me (to check out my story) or the fact that we may be defeating ourselves but never heard from anyone. Can someone suggests how we can get the attention of anybody who cares enough or has the power to investigate the longterm consequences of letting other countries assemble the "guts" of some of the most importent equipment we use to protect the safty and freedom of this country?

As far as possible any country should not do that unless it can't be done in own country

Countries pass huge budget for military every year and if they start making such compromises then why to spend so much public money.

Those people who do this should first try this thing
1.Import all their security systems from countries like mexico or china
2.use low quality material to ur walls and doors and windows and cupboards etc. to match to their security systems and they (with their families) should live there for 5 years

If they can't risk their lives by doing this then they don't have any right to risk common man's life

I think you will have to blame the American Unions that have priced American Labor out of the ballpark.

With a tight budget, at the demand of the people, how in hell can we buy anything when our labor costs are almost out of sight.

Labor costs have made it necessary for our country to decide,..Higher Taxes or Farm it out to some other country.

Labor is not going to cut back. Our CEOs want their obscene bonuses. The people scream against more taxes. Congress continues to give themselves big raises. Where are the miracles that can be used to bring things back to common sense?

I could not agree with you more. Defense work should be ALL INTERNAL.

There should be import limits on all aircraft work, so these contractors have more civilian work to keep them alive as viable companies. (what good is a bankrupt defense contractor).

The Mexican, Chinese, Indians can all do wonderful work for us. There is a huge commercial market here that we have provided to them. There is nothing wrong with a modest amout of set-aside work, if it means a stronger defense.

Its bologna in my opinion. Its right up there with us selling our military equipment to other countries like Saudi Arabia. Just plain dumb.

umm....no. supposed we DO use these things to fire at someone and that someone just happens to be the people who made it, that would leave me to question the operational ability of the said equipment. it's like asking your enemy to load your gun for you so that you can shoot them easier.
