Call the Canadian embassy, or consulate to find out if they recognize an American divorce of a Canadian marriage.
Probably they do.

if you still having dual citizenship yes you were divorced in both countries or else if you in any other visa catergory it depend on that. or which is the place your applying for above divorce that depends on that goverment law.
