Bonjour!
I respect what you say as I am one who is a firm believer of freedom. You may recollect the American Revolution....Americans fought their *** off to be free from the King of England...And who came to help us...The French...yep they got right into that civil war. And USA was born.
Keep this in mind...A territory whether the USA, Israel, hezballah, palestine, or timbuktu belongs to whoever has ability to fight for it and the the power to control it ...By what ever means necessary...I understand what you say about semantics...if you remember the militia of the american revolution who played an impotant part in gaining american freedom...they never followed the rules of war. But unlike terrorists they did not attack civilians. That is why they are called terrorists as opposed to militia.

Wow. America is stopping us from becoming wealthy? Possibly, but I'm guessing France is worse, since there is a large exodus of the Upper Class/Upper Middle Class because they get taxed over 70%...Plus if you are an American citizen the government has not done anything damaging to your freedom, but the freedoms of people who are not citizens in the US has decreased, who cares about that though, they have no rights under our constitution. As far as America invading another country just to supply us cheap labor, I doubt that, please give a concret example. The only countries with enough cheap labor that would even effect us on a large enough scale would be China and Mexico. We would never invade China....too many reasons why there...Anyway, since Mexico's government is democratic, it would be fair to say that the insurgents would probably be communist, and it would behoove the United States to bring stability to North America. As far as America bitching about refugees and illegal immigrants, I doubt that America would "*****" about people we invited to come here. As far as illegal immigrants are concerned, I don't believe that bitching would be the right word for it, since "to *****" is to complain about something that does not matter. Ten percent of California's prisoners are illegal immigrants, and guess what, they don't put them in prison for just being here illegally. Simple economics, poor people are more likely to commit crimes, not just theft. Mexicans are on average poorer than Americans. Enough with my rant, go back to France.

LOL you sound like part of the problem, not part of the solution, or ANY solution for that matter, to me. Sounds like you're cheering on the opposition. I'd like to see the immigration issue nailed down, then a new balanced budget amendment passed, along with some other reforms that'll help things get restructured so that we have more economic stability as a country, and less of other countries trying to tell us what to do etc.
America served as food-basket to the world for many years, and for many years we also loaned out a lot of money to completely destitute countries. We got on top of our own domestic problems, and then helped others with theirs. We've hosted the UN and financed it, done all kinds of crazy-stupid things in the name of foreign aid/assistance, but where's the world now?
What in the name of All That Which Does Not Suck have we done to ourselves and our future as a country? We need budget and border reforms, period.
Mark Twain once observed:"The major difference between a man and a dog is, if you feed the dog, he'll be less likely to bite you"...go marry your foreigner or whatever, and leave America be.
Good riddance, there.

Some of the illegal aliens in our land ARE refugees. There was no work and what work there was, when there was some, paid pathetic wages. These economic refugees were very much like, in that respect to what we wanted to happen when this country was very young. We wanted more, in order to crowd out the locals (we commonly call them Indians). The Indians didn't stop that, so I facetiously ask, why bother with the Hispanic and Islamic colonization that is taking place today?

Frist of all, you are a sweetie, you're cute, but too young anyway, looks like America doesn't like criticism, wow who knew. Most Americans are arrogant and ignorant, don't know a thing about the world outside of them, and a lot of people are showing true colors here. Well I for one do agree that it's really hard for a country to reform even America, but other countries have it harder without America diggin it's noses up in their business and trying to stop a reform in hopes of keeping cheap labor, oh well who knew. Take care and hope you like living in the USA.

Give me a break woman. Get your head out your a** and live in the real world. A mexican revolution would be the best thing ever to happen to the U.S. All the illegals here would go back to help out their families fighting. Then we would put our troops on the border to keep the fighting over there and we will be free of the welfare, medicaid, food stamp, no tax paying moochers that jump the border and steal our jobs and run down our wages.

I'm not 100% sure what your asking, but this is what I gather from it: America should deal with it's own economical problems before it tries to give financial advice to a new country. I agree. We have too many of our own problems to deal with, and we don't need any more. In 2000, nearly one in five american children went hungry, also in 2000, 11% of the american population was living in poverty. Who cares about kids in Ethiopia (SP) when our own children are starving, and our people don't have jobs, or a source of income? It looks to me like the governments priorities are a little backwards.

Sweetie, we had to fix your sorry French COUNTRY, TWICE, in World Wars, so what would you know about government, or insurgents or civil wars or fixing governments. Your preferred country SUCKS on the world arena as the sorriest, most spineless, inept bunch of worthless crap anywhere, that WE, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA has had to save from the fires of Germany TWICE. You'd think you'd've learned how to take care of yourself after your first butt-whupin', but NOOOOO. Hell, only 23 years after we rescued your French Sweetie ***, we had to come in and do it again because ya'll couldn't even build a satisfactory defense with your Maginot Line. So don't criticize the U.S. until you Frenchies can figure out how to come in out of the rain. God Bless you.

I get what the overall feel of what you're trying to say, but I also think you have a limited point of view. The "go back to your own country" statement is just a smartarsed statement made without thought when people are irritated. It's childish, as is much of what the media chooses to show the general public. People who truly care about bettering humanity overall are working to change things, but it won't be noticeable for years, perhaps decades.

People are not against immigrants..they are against illega immigrants. I am a immigrant too but I did not sneak into the country. I learned english, I did not burden the healthcare and other infrastuctures with abuse. I pay taxes, I waited my turn and I do not sneak in drugs, weapons and terorists. For every illegal in this country, there is a a person out in the world whose immigration through proper chanells is blocked. So people who cut the line should not have it easier than those who stand in line and wait their turn.
