Someone needs to keep Israel in check!

Let me remind you that BUT FOR Hezbollah going on Israel soil, killing 8 and kidnapping 2 soldiers a few weeks ago, Israel would not be on the offensive to destroy Hezbollah right now, and you would not be posting this message.
Israel withdrew from Lebanon 6 years ago, and what have the Lebanese done? They allowed Hezbollah, with Syria and Iran's backing, to build massive munition to attack Israel. Lebanon has over 150,000 military personnel, and they are unwilling and/or afraid to deal with about 5,000 Hezbollah terrorists. Since it won't or can't, Israel will. This is not a war on Lebanon. It is a war to destroy the terrorist element within Lebanon.
For once I would like to see Muslims condeming the existence of Hezbollah and recognizing how this current situation began some weeks ago. However, those few moderate to liberal Muslims are afraid to speak lest they lose their lives in the Muslim countries.
As for the UN, it is an ineffective organization, large due to a leader named Koffi Annan, who has a strong anti-America, anti-Israel bias. As a diplomat, one would think that he would hold his criticism until he has all the facts. Not this man, no, he immediately condemned Israel without addressing any facts, and without reiterating how this situation began.
It is clear how one-sided and biased you are. Lets stick to facts, and not opinion. Your question has no merit.

If the UN is ineffective. Would it not be better to disband the UN and use NATO.
UN is corrupt and worthless, Israel is already hated by the UN so why wasted both sides time and money?
