I was accused of doing something that I did not do an investigation was conducted by the government with no pertinent outcome and I was still fired. It was really because I am african american and my boss and his boss were good ole boys.

Over the weekend he made a visit to Iran and is now bent on steering Venezuela into the Axis of Evil. It's also been reported that Iranian and possibly Hamas officials have been spotted in Caracas. For all his anti-American rhetoric, he's a small man leading a small country that wants to be a major world player. His claims that the U.S. is going to attack Venezuela is just a smokescreen for him to consolidate power and reamin in office for life. The millions of rifles he recently purchased (not to mention the Kalashnikov factory he just announced) will no doubt find their way into neighboring Colombia and help to further destabilize tht country. He's aligned himself with Ahmadenijad who has repeatedly called for Israels destruction, pursues nuclear weapons and aids terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and possibly FARC in Colombia in the near future.He's becoming more than just a fly to swat, he's becoming Mussolini to Ahmadenijad's Hitler.

I believe in the freedom of speech and the press. I am almost Libertarian in this one specific arena. However, I have been thinking about something- should speech always be protected and allowed, even if an individual makes hostile remarks?

Okay- for example- what if a man walks into a store, and threatens to kill a customer there (for no apparent reason). The man who made the threat keeps threatening the customer, so in self defense, the customer gets into a fight with the man threatening him.

Does my point make sense? If it isn't clear, what I am trying to point out is that there are words that may impel action- some good, some bad. So, in particular, do words that may lead to negative actions deserve to be protected by the 1st Amendment?

What things are not allowed to fall under the umbrella of protected speech?

I know we are debating the current form of the bill that increases the amount one can pass on tax free from 2 million (for couples) to 10 million. and decreases the rate at which the rest gets taxed.

But when was the current system adopted? How much inflation has occured since then? the 2 million figure, how much would that be in todays dollars?

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

I supported Bush until shortly after 9-11. When that attack happned, I was glad he was in the driver's seat. After 911, our country was more unified than I have ever seen it in my life. The patriotism was amazing. Then, he flushed all that away and seperated our country, and the world more than I have ever seen in my life. He blew a chance to continue this unity and bring us all together. Now Democrats and republicans fight like people at high school football games.

The evidence is mounting. Why was there a 7-8 hour gap between the strike and the building collapse? Why did they say that many died in their sleep if there were loud explosions nearby?
Why did they wait til the camera crews arrive to start the "rescue" operation? Observers say that the bodies removed had rigor mortise, not something you see in a person dead for only a few hours. Couldn't it be possible that the already dead were moved to the building and the building exploded by hezbollah? Note that the roof of the building is intact.

seems that we really only have one party with two seperate issues morality and who pays for what . EACH group played against each other with one winner .huge multinational corporations bent on providing the lowest cost of production and the maximizing of profits to the exclusion of the workers needs and desires.
most of us do not get our pay check from uncle sam yet so why can we never get a responsive government .AND for the republicans why do they never get abortion and porno and drug policies delt with .
I suspect it is the one party system created by special intrests that are after all multi-national companies with there own agenda .

Each State would have its own consumption tax plus the Federal. Business Tax would remain the same - therefore no effect on GNP. Certain items like food and medical supplies would not be taxed. Why not?

as is publicised petrochemicals are a limited resource ok it wont run out in our lifetimes but in the time of our children's children things may well be different - ok marijuanah can get you high but hemp doesnt have to produce thc to be a valuable resource lots ofnon thc producint varieties of hemp, plastic uses up petrochemicals - hemp uses the sun to grow

The US still has plenty of time and money to play games all over the world.

Chavez is the best thig to happen to latin America, a true patriot of Venezeula, if you believe the lies about his "dictatorship" you are fooled by the State Dept. dictatorship.

Write your Congressperson and reveal the plot before we end up attacking Venezuela and making yet another big mistake.
