well certainly not to spread peace or democracy.but trust me not EVERY american agrees with the choices are goverment makes .i cant even join the military to get an education, because i dont agree one bit with what they are doing .instead of stealing another regions energy supply they should recognize science and technology in to building a better more efficient civilized world. it is 2006 not 1806.but when you put a leader in control and they think oil is the only source of energy it is hard to progress or succeed because the financial support has been wasted .and what did it solve ?higher prices on EVERYTHING

They haven't even transported any oil yet there is no means to do so. Besides they will probably start getting their oil from Canada soon since it has the second largest reserves in the world. The USA wants the whole world to be like the USA capitalist consumerists. If the middle east was more like that they could sell more products to them. So why are they there? Securing business markets of the future. I don't think its a bad thing it might give Americans more jobs and a new market to export too.

Trying to secure the area that is heading towards an all out war with Israel in the middle. It also didn't help matters that Bin Ladden took credit for the World Trade Center bombing and other attacks on this country.
And the voters made them captain, as did the Supreme Court.
